Collingwood in very good form lately, essendon the opposite. Essendon by 24.
Stkildas best has been very good this year,Brisbane yet to show anything promising. Brisbane by 15.
Fremantle as always very tough on their home dock with North a nightmare to have any confidence in week in week out. North by 10.
Gold Coast really showing signs of maturity and confidence all over the park now and should account for the Giants without too much trouble. Giants by 26.
West coast will be looking to bounce back after 2 consecutive losses. Carlton would've gained confidence in a hard fought win but probably lack the speed and polish against west coast to really compete over the ground. Carlton by 19.
Sydney clearly the better team on paper but have a couple blemishes this year. Melbourne appear to have improved slightly but nowhere need the capacity to overpower a hardened swans outfit. Melbourne by 16.
The crows have looked good in recent weeks but beating up on 2 inexperienced teams is hard to gauge. Face a similar team this week but should have a lot more scoring power. Bulldogs by 25.
Richmond appear to still be basking in there 1 finals appearance last year and not working hard enough to back it up this season. Hawthorn aren't used to losing since becoming priority pick city and shouldn't have any trouble with a currently average Richmond squad. Richmond by 10.
Port will be confident against Geelong,it's natural to expect the cats to be slightly down after a huge clash this weekend. Home deck, wanting to prove Geelong aren't unbeatable and most signs point towards a Port Adelaide upset. Geelong by 28.

Port by 6 - 50k - almost as big a crowd as the Showdown I reckon, will be huge. Port with a huge crowd behind them up against the Cats who have been susceptible to dropping consecutive games/games after the Hawks clash over the years will ride a wave of momentum and record a massive team-building victory
Myth, and for some reason a really popular myth.

In the last 7 seasons, we have followed only 3 games vs Hawthorn with a loss (and no "consecutive" losses). One of those games being in 2010, and the other two being in 2012, both extremely disappointing years.

Err midfield depth can't always be replaced over a pre-season? Add to that you've got Douglas off to the tribunal for a high off the ball bump (i.e. gone) and no Van Berlo.

I don't think either Crouch brothers or Wright have done a whole lot consistently in their careers, and if they become the 3rd or 4th best midfielders on the day (i.e. Sloane-Thompson 1-2 with Danger restricted), then you would get pumped by Cooney-Griffen-Libba-Boyd-Macrae
Yes Macrae has done a whole lot consistently in his career....
You are forgetting Grigg, Kerridge, Smith, Mackay, Matty and Wrighty go through there. What if Danger isn't restricted and Thommo racks up 30+ again...

Should be a great weekend for attendances: Coll/Ess sellout, Freo should get a big crowd in, WC and Syd are two of the stronger drawing interstate teams, Rich v Haw should be huge, and Port should get a bumper crowd with Geelong visiting!

Collingwood vs Essendon - Pies hitting form, Bombers looking a little shaky but in this game form lines don't always matter - Pies by 12pts
St Kilda vs Brisbane - Saints have a huge advantage having played in NZ before, that aside they should be able to beat struggling Lions - Saints by 19pts
Fremantle vs North Melbourne - Dockers on the rebound will have too much class for the Roos at home - Dockers by 14pts
Gold Coast vs GWS Giants - Suns are hard to beat at Metricon but will be closer then last game - Suns by 24pts
Carlton vs West Coast - Blues need to show last week's form was no fluke, but Eagles to bounce back in a close one - Eagles by 7pts
Melbourne vs Sydney - If Swans turn up to play this could be a very ugly night the Dees - Swans by 33pts
W.Bulldogs vs Adelaide - Dogs got the Crows last time but think the result will be switched this time - Crows by 13pts
Richmond vs Hawthorn - Tigers record vs Hawks in recent times is good but can't see the Hawks dropping two in a row - Hawks by 25pts
Port Adelaide vs Geelong - Power will take it right to the Cats but think the result and margin will be similar to the Semi Final - Cats by 10pts
