I dont have to post to watch the thread. Thats nifty.
"No tag-team TG - we are trying for a new friendly not cliquey Carlton board".
Seems cliché to call something cliquey.
Any whispers about Goddard going around ?
The whisper is that apparently he supported Carlton as a kid.
surely you jest...
if he supported carlton as a kid we would have drafted him the first time round
haha the day Goddard retires will be a a sad day for the Carlton forum, The "he supported Carlton as a kid" joke will be lost
Don't you worry, it's not as though we're GWS or North Melbourne. A lot of footy stars supported the Blues growing up.
There is a rumour on TC, posted by a very reliable poster, that there was a major breach in trust between the coach/s and the players. Not sure if it had anything to do with Ratten singling out Hampson after the Port game or something else. Judd had a few things to say in an interview about structures not paying the bills so things may not be too rosy at the club at present.
Someone called Jimmy the Gent likes the rumour about instability within the club. Pretty solid effort that.
West Coast supporter.
Ask him if it's a rumour that West Coast lost today when they weren't being completely favoured by the umpires.
Amazing what happens when the umpires decide it's a level playing field.
I meant that I read the same thing on Talking Carlton.
Heard tonight from a good souce, who works for a board member, that moves are taking place behind the scenes regarding the coaching position next year.
Thrice removed info? Do tell more...
Go to TC and look under the Malthouse thread. If rumour is true, and again this poster is usually spot on, then wait for major changes. Not a good environment at present.
The players don't want to win. They're just happy to take their money and play games with their mates. This attitude starts at the top. The club has the list, but not the direction.
Meanwhile, we end up paying for them and their state of the art facilities out of naivety and loyalty. There's a sucker born every minute. Once the players are retired or done at Carlton, they will just move on after being stars at a club that never won anything. They won't have any premierships reunions to look forward to. A situation plenty of former Collingwood players and Richmond players have found themselves in.
