Both teams are too important to relocate or lose altogether

Other Vic sides will relocate creating better market space for the saints. whilst the lions have a mandate to grow AFL in SE Qld for generations to come.

I agree about the Lions, but why are the Saints too important (when other vic clubs aren't)?

All clubs have some...I doubt the Saints have so many that it'd change things that much.

May be its just an observation from a far where I see little upside to the Dees business model; but just like the pies who benefited the most from the demise of their Roys neighbours, the Saints and Roos will benefit from the relocation of the Dees.

As I said, it is an observation from 4,000km away.
