Why is Brown included with these guys. He is clearly below the other 3.

I was just curious to see where others would place them. North supporters are up and about with Brown and I'd like some prospective.

On actual output this year Brown has been better than Carlisle.. he's not half as talented as any of them though.

Sam Day hasn't really done too much to suggest he will be a gun. Don't see how Ben Brown got on the list either. Jonathan Patton has had too many injuries, so Jake Carlisle. I still see Carlisle being a better defender than a forward though.

Other than goals, Day is only just behind the averages of Brown over their careers. Brown averages twice as many goals per game though.

This year, thus far, Brown is soooooooo far in front in every statistical category that its a stupid comparison.

So Josh Bruce is a level higher than all 4 then is he?

Statistically it would go

1 Brown

2 Patton

3 Day

4 Carlisle (as a forward)

Patton should be the best so long as his knees hold up. Carlisle is being destroyed playing in a position he is not suited to. North did a similar thing with Hansen.

So basically you're saying Carlisle wins by the Steven Bradbury rule.

I think you're underselling the others quite a bit there. I really hope people aren't using draft order as a guide.

As a defender yes... As a forward Ben brown is far better...

Cant raelly compare its like SOS v Ablett Snr kinda thing...
Far better? I'll give you better, but a 30-40 goal/year forward isn't "far better" than 25-35.

Statistically. How so???
The only full season Carlisle has played fwd was last year and he kicked the most goals, took the most marks and had the most disposals. Slightly behind Brown on average goals but still well ahead on the others.
This year Brown has easily been the best.
Bit frustrated by Carlisle. I See him following a similar path way to Hurley. Tantalising glimpses but inconsistent. But since mid last year Hurley has been great so hopefully Carlisle will follow the same path. (Who knows whether he can do that as a forward though)

Yes and by a bit to. Ridiculous to suggest otherwise.

Not one person has voted Day so far.
