T.Sumner
S.Tape (if not traded)
D.Gorringe (if not traded)

Rookie delistings:

A.Raines

That's 6 senior spots available.

What if u trade say a gorringe for a future round Pick. How does that work?
Does that class as a delisting

Another club has to want him this trades period ie. Adelaide - and they trade us say their 2nd rd pick from next years draft.

But Gorringe is still officially traded this year and off our list.

Yeah but because you are not replacing him with someone this year does that count as a delisting?

I assume some players will know already if they are likely to get delisted, especially those who are out of contract. My prediction is:
J. Hall, Sumner, and Gorringe delisted. Smith, Dixon, and maybe Tape traded. Raines, Herbert, and Ellis delisted from the rookie list.

That leaves us with 6 senior and 3 rookie spots available. 3x draft picks, 2x players traded in, 1 x Saad upgrade, and 3 more rookies.

"The massive Gold Coast-Port Adelaide melee saw Harley Bennell, Tom Lynch, Henry Schade, Charlie Dixon, Clay Cameron, Brandon Matera, Sean Lemmens, Jarrod Garlett, Touk Miller, Hamish Hartlett, Cam O'Shea, Matthew Lobbe, Jarman Impey, Jaspar Pittard, Tom Jonas and Sam Gray all fined $1000."

nice little $16,000 melee for the AFL haha

Good to see Touk and Garlett in there flying the flag for us, not getting intimidated.. :) $1000 would be quite a hefty loss for a rookie.

Needs to get fit , showed enough this season he can match it .

Got sent away for not being fit during the year, comes back and shows talent but fades out of games and lacks repeat efforts. It's all about desire for him, the talent is unquestionable.

Anyone remember this from the Gold Coast Bulletin back in 2010?

Looks like the Geelong Advertiser has followed in their footsteps and come up with this one for the Cats-Crows game this weekend at Kardinia Park:

Broughton retiring at the end of this season. Probably for the best.

Does this mean we get another 'nominated rookie' or whatever he was?

Yep, we can have another nominated rookie next season as long as we don't have any players on the veteran list, which we won't.

Broughton did his job. Gave us some experience and a hardened body down back for a few years.

Got a 100'ish games out of himself which is a good effort for a mature aged draft rookie.
