Selwood incident

Only problem with your thesis is Walker didn't have the ball
He got pinged for HTB not 2 seconds beforehand, its not like Swallow was running around holding onto his arm. Only problem with your thesis is that, Swallow did nothing wrong or malicious and Selwood did.

Adding to that, just as many people saw the supposed Swallow incident and thought absolutely nothing of it, shows that you are in the minority by a hefty margin.

He'll get a week.
Oh and I love those calls of "protected" Selwood.
This is a guy who got suspended for pushing his brother and allegedly smacking Guerra even though no footage showed it.
Yeah their was 'only' a burst ear drum... Surely you're not serious. He is easily the dirtiest player in the league and showing this season how overrated he is without the likes of Bartel, Kelly, Ablett, Ling, Corey hes been able to ride the coattails of in the past. He will be praying for Dangerfield to go to the Cats so he can become relevant again.

Lol yeah right champ.
Wanna go check his Brownlow votes per year post 2011?
Go on. Go check.

Oh and 1 suspension in his entire career. But you're right, dirtiest player.......

Haha you are like a poor, innocent lamb- no idea. Now that your team is playing well enough to matter, you'll discover, the hard way, who the dirty people play for, and they don't wear blue and white. Good luck though.

He got him in a legitimate tackle, Wright tried to roll out of it, and Selwood ended up with his arm. Selwood was looking up at the umpire seeing what the decision would be. Hardly the act of someone trying to injure an opponent. How many quarters did Wright miss? Get off it.

Perhaps that's the problem..the tackle itself...since when does does dragging an arm like that constitute a tackle.

I think Selwood should get 2-3 for this (This is intentionally trying to injure a player, have to stamp this out) but he is far from the dirtiest player in the league.

Actually he's not that far at all....His team-mate in fact.

Agree with that. If Wright didn't roll, and he dropped the ball, Selwood gets a free kick. That is the idea. A version of this is attempted a 100 times a game in every game. I think how much the tackler is rewarded for pinning the arms has to be looked at too. The rules encourage it.

You're kidding, right? Should we suspend his teammate instead, who would have literally no reason to shove Selwood if he hadn't seen him chicken-winging someone?

No, his teammate's action was pretty dumb but was it spur of the moment. He would not have thought about the consequences of pushing a player who had pinned the arm of his teammate.

Nothing in it, coaches fine with it. No harm done! I suppose the hysteria will win out again as they try and over sanitise the game even further, Robbo will blow a gasket over it and the confusion for the players will continue!

Haha-Stevie J is just an aging/injured player who gets frustrated and dishes off an occasional love tap.
But he is hardly in the same league as the Hawks henchmen, ( Hodgey, Mitchell, Gibson, Duryea, Lewis, Lake etc) who deliberately, and successfully go out to do some physical damage (and mental) to other players, every week. Another brilliant strategy of Clarkos and will go a long way to ensuring the three peat happens-so one has to hand it to him.
You are way too sensitive old thing, given where your loyalties lie.;)
