100% it was to stay ahead of the " curve "
Would've looked / sounded much worse had anyone on the Right broke the story.

Was in the car listening to 2GB as this broke yesterday , cue 38 different people calling and saying how it was a " bad move "..........
Ben Fordham then went on to explain how " no sufficient evidence to convict " really meant " not cleared "......
Those on the "Right" knew about this story already and did the right thing(pun not intended). I really wonder how it would have been had the Prime Minister been the accused in this case though.

Is she wrong?
What has that got to do with my comment? Never said anything about right or wrong.
Too sensitive a topic, not sure what value her comments add, predictable comment.
Of course if you are an Abbott fan, you may view her piece differently.

So, your problem is that she pointed out the double standard?

Yeah, it's not like anyone went off about him supposedly punching a wall.
Vandstone showed her hypocrisy at that time

she protected Abbott in her article , claiming it was no one business what the current leader of the opposition (abbott) did in his past

If news ltd and pro coalition media still trying the personal propaganda attack , things aren't looking good for Abbott

All this will end up doing is giving more support to shorten
The woman has spoken out at her will.

To spread propaganda against shorten , it seems nothing is working to help Abbott , news ltd has to do smear
Funnily enough experts in politics query when the time comes up to debating issues and in campaign mode whether Shorten can challenge and as a result a poll change might be expected.

Just remember, people dont vote an opposition in as much as they vote the current bastards out! (Historic view of politics in Oz:rolleyes:)

All the balls are in Abbotts court. He has incumbency, he controls the shots, he can make policy, argue policy & negotiate to get it or most of it through. Just like EVERY other Federal Govenrment.

The Leaders debates have a minimal effect IMHO.
