Maxwell is producing some pretty decent red ball form. With both ball and bat.
It's hard to judge though because he's just going out and slogging almost every delivery and the Redbacks were trying to slog him. Would that work at Test level? highly unlikely as we already know from his debacle of a test cap in India.

he has been, again cricket victoria have tried to slow his development, he has batted every where in the order with the vic's from opening down to number 7. this year they have let him settle at number 5 & he is show great signs

Maxwell seems to be in blistering form. Making a mountain of runs and taking wickets. He's has always seemed very talented, but that is never enough on its own for Cricket.

Why is Stoinis even on the Vic list, let alone playing?

Premier Div players must be shaking their heads.

he's a talented ball striker and bowls, albeit pretty pedestrian mediums. Handy in shorter forms, but isn't a shield number 3's butthole.

Reckon a Quiney, Hill, Wade, White, Hussey, Maxwell top 6 has to be the go from now on. If they want to play a batting all rounder go for Christian or Keath

Anyone but Keath. They've given him every chance. Not up to it. Christian a far better option even though he's best in shorter form.

Early wickets the key tomorrow, need them at least 5 down by the time they pass the 109 runs needed to make us bat again otherwise there won't be enough time for a chase. Need to win at least one of our 3 games remaining outright otherwise no final, 2 and I think we will host it. Up to the Redbacks I guess but there is still a chance of an outright in this match I think.

...He's played 6 FC games.
