I'd trade two top 5 draft picks for Cameron, at any club ;)
Problem with doing something like that is getting the second draft pick, unless a free agent leaves and you get lucky with compo

Someone who isn't turning 29 next season?
A top five midfielder in the league in his prime would comand a top five pick.

Of course. But he's exiting his prime. Last year going into this year, or the year before that, he would definitely be worth a top 5 pick, but I'd say he's in that 5-10 range now. A side would probably only get 3 years out of him.

We would want a top 5 pick for Vlastuin, just saying that he would be a regular 22 player at the hawks for sure.
Duryea, Cheney, Shiels, Langford, Spangher
Duryea is not best 22 (well not yet, 20-27 range) and is a better kick then Vlastuin (often kicks out from full back) arguably Vlastuin might be ahead.

Cheney is playing FB relief. Vlastuin can not play FB.

Shiels is a batter player then Vlastuin right now. your bias is clouding your judgment here.

Langford is a close one, is playing a tagging role in the midfield that I could see Vlastuin covering. But again Langford is not best 22 yet (20-25)

Spangher see Cheney.

I would love Vlastuin at Hawthorn but it would be hard to squeeze him in to our best 22 but would be in the same bracket as Anderson, Hallahan, Langford, Duryea, Cheney, Wanganeen, Litherland and Spangher.

What Richmond would want isn't really what the thread is asking though. I agree Richmond wouldn't consider giving Vlastuin away unless it was for a top 5 pick but that doesn't mean Vlastuin is worth that much.

Hansen and Mullett absolutely in the 11-20 range.

And FWIW, if Ziebell/Cunnington entered a national draft now, they'd definitely be taken in the top 3.

Looked pretty bloody good last year. No way you'd take an untried midfielder at pick 3 instead of him.

Say we traded him for a top three pick this year and it was an uncompromised draft. You would be trading out one of jack Martin, Tom Boyd, or Jesse hogan for jack ziebell. Don't think so mate.

If you had pick 3 and you picked up a player who ended up being as good as Ziebell, you'd be satisfied.

Shields? Hahaha!

Oops!

Vlastuin is 100 times the player Shiels will ever be.

Shiels has played as a tagger the past few seasons to develop other parts of his game and as a consequence of being in a strong team. However, Langford has taken that role now, freeing Shiels up. His season to date has been brilliant and a big reason for Hawthorn's unbeatable form despite missing key players. I rate Vlastuin but Shiels is a much more complete player at this stage.
