Obviously based upon the media release put out by the SFL that they are disappointed in the Dragons and felt that the Dragons threw the towel in. Yes the SFL should have done better before allowing them back in but the responsibility lies with 3 parties, the Dragons, SFL and the VAFA who promised the world and left them a shadow of what they promised a few years ago when they won the third div premiership. Many lessons to be learned here. The bye puts pressure on opposing clubs budgets and the SFL should compensate those clubs like CPL who missed out on revenue last week and the clubs in the next few weeks that will be doing the same....

Dragons had 3 teams playing every week last year and their playing stocks were fine at the start of the season. So I fail to see how their demise is the fault of the SFL or the VAFA. Rather than looking for scapegoats how about pointing the finger of blame squarely at those who deserted the club in droves between round 1 and now.

Obviously not ideal that clubs miss out on a game of football and associated revenue but the SFL can hardly be expected to foot the bill on behalf of a club that decided on a particular course of action rather than trying to ride out the rough times.

You have already had the person you referred to as being single-handedly responsible for them moving competitions come on here and set the record straight so maybe you should just leave it at that.

Not sure who you are referring to that put the record straight but the playing stocks were not fine at the Dragons at the start of the season just ask the blokes that had to double up....Bad form SFL and VAFA. Compensation is due to clubs who were supposed to host the Dragons - from the SFL, watch this space..

Paul stow has left endeavour hills after a massive dispute with the coach about money.. Wasn't paid for the first 4 rounds and was promised $150 a game. Now off to meeniyan dumbalk

Hahaha. No money gets dished out down at the falcs. Cant get paid playing in the ressies can ya?

Apparently played the first half a dozen game in the seniors.. Was told by a very good source that he was offered $150 by the buchan caveman in the omeo football league but the Falcons matched it. Interesting

Obviously they did match it, with his marching orders more like poor judgement by the coach to even play him 6 senior games walked out on the Hammers last year as well, he is a serial pest he would collect 2 jumpers a season every year.

Why would've they matched it? Considering the petrol money someone would have to use to go to Buchan or Meniyan once a week let alone if he had to train there also doesn't justify the travel he would have to do compared to a SFL side.
No big loss for the Falcons and I'm sure they have a young twos player who can fill his spot quiet easily.

Paul who??? lol our coach dosent even collect $$

our canteen has probably been effected most by this departure....we will adjust ;)

Good bloke stowy but not a cent went his way and doesnt go to any of our other players. Great depth at our club. And cobra c0d the canteen is doing great business cos you eat 13 hotdogs before the seniors start then hit the snitzel rolls. Clubs need people like you who dip into there pockets

These personal attacks have got to stop falc10 :( might have put a transfer in like journeymen... apparently ESPN are doing a 30 for 30 doco on him. 30 clubs in 30 years!! What an athlete

Snagged 7 sausages in a practice game apparently the big fella wasn't played in the correct position.. Off too meeniyan for some good $$. Who do the Falcons have to replace him?

We used a wheelie bin tonight, worked a treat! Got the same sorta output, probably had better lateral movement & more footy

Win/Win :) all the best journeymen

Rumour has it that Mark Anderson from Karingal, Sam Villinger from Nagambie and Josh Chenoweth from Munyip Murtoa are looking for new clubs next season and the Falcons are on their radars after hearing good things about the culture.

Do they have a grand final in divison 3 or is it a lightning premiership?

They play a Grand Final* you peanut! Get off the board if you're not going to contribute, i don't know what club you're involved with but stop wasting people's time.

*except last year (lol)

Oh yes back in my day for the might collingwood districts we use to dominate in finals but last year I realised there wasn't a grand final played.. back in those days there was a division 5! My son plays under 9s and they have a lightning premiership, so i thought as its pull on the boots doesn't matter how good you are sort of footy they'd go with the same concept
