Just watching season 12 now and I must say, I am surprised by how lame it has been.

I hope it picks up again in the seasons following.

Yeah, 12 was fairly average. Season 13 is quality, however, particularly the first half.

Loved it how Cartmen in the later seasons started over pronouncing things such as Keeeenny and Cooool. It's such a clever show, best ideas.

My favourite episode is Season 13, Ep 3. Margariataville I think it's spelt. Unbelievably funny..

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand it's gone.

Crack Baby basketball FTW.

Watched that one for the first time last night. It was good, and I have been pleased to see that so far, Season 13 is much, much better than the crud that was Season 12.

On Margaritaville, I agree with Parker and Stone's assessment that the concept was A+ but the execution wasn't quite there. The idea of crossing the story of Jesus (Cartman as Judas, Last Supper, etc) and depicting 'the economy' as religion was brilliant, as was their depiction of how banks and governments dealt with securitised debt etc. However, they didn't manage to get the plot and subplot to come together and overall the episode ended a little empty for mine. Still an excellent episode.

One thing that concerns me is how Randy Marsh seems to be becoming a main character. As awesome a character as he is, they will ruin him if they flog him like this (I also watched Eat, Pray, Queef and Pinewood Derby last night and he features prominently in both).

This show peaked some seasons ago. They should end it lest it becomes like the Simpsons.

Disagree. It's probably not as consistent as it was, but it still hits the same highs, whereas the Simpsons has never approached greatness in the last decade.

Different appeal to a different audience compared to the Simpsons

South Park appealed more to the "oddball" types who like music by Marilyn Manson etc, whereas the Simpsons tended to get anyone mainstream (Britney, NSync) onto that show

Im surprised that Madonna has never been on the Simpsons, and neither has Jessica Simpson - The forgotten Simpsons family member

^ Radiohead was on South Park, its an absolute low to be called a "little crybaby" by Phil Selway - the band's drummer

Randy Marsh: Yes, uh, you see, Token, that was called a pornographic film. It shows adult men and adult women having sexual intercourse. Well, you, you see, when a man and a woman fall in love, the man puts his penis in the woman's vagina. It's called lovemaking and it's part of being in love.

Token: And when the woman has four penises in her at the same time, then stands over the men and pees on them, is that part of being in love, too? ...Five short people, spanking a man covered in Thousand Island dressing...is that making love?

Chicken sandwich?

You read it out loud the same way the Goobacks say it didn't you?

Yes, yes I did. I then continued the scene in my head :D

"I want a god damn cheeseburger, and some god damn fries, you ****ing goobacks!"
"Stan Marsh!"
"Awww"

:p
