1- Very strong batting line-up for England. Plunkett at 10 is phenomenal. Bats 6/7 for his county.

2- finds it appalling that Fox Sports aren't showing this series nor the England V India series in a few weeks. Will have to watch West Indies V NZ instead…

is that the worst drop ever?

EDIT: on reflection he didn't hit it. still a horrible drop from the keeper.

Nuwan Pradeep. Chosen ahead of Welegedara & Damika Prasad.

Are Sri Lankan fast bowling stocks that bad?

Ludicrous they arent televising this on Fox. Currently there is boxing and a golf highlights show. But no live cricket?
It all depends on how much Fox would have been asked to pay for the rights as opposed to the expected viewership and advertising revenue it can generate.

Fox would've asked the question no doubt, but If the ECB asked for too much then you can't blame Fox for pulling the pin. They can't be paying an amount that is going to cost them money.

That being said it is disappointing because it's an interesting series.

Apparently it's due to a feud between Fox, Nine and the ECB.

ECB sold the Ashes rights separate to the rest of their other series. Channel Nine snapped up exclusive coverage of the 2015 and 2019 Ashes and completely shut Foxtel out. Foxtel were pissed so when the ECB wanted to sell the rest of the rights to Foxtel the refused them out of spite.

Unfortunately us fans get screwed over by it.

You can relax now that he is out. He is another player who jumped the test call-up queue without really deserving it.

I do rate him though.

21 tonnes, 73 matches, 54 average... at 24. One of the best, if not the best, in the County last few seasons.

Never got why it was such a surprise to people.
