Nice game, was competitive til late in the fourth.

Gave McCown a battering, feel a little sorry.
Concerned we could be running Gurley a little too hard. Like to see us batter the defense with Cunningham in the first half and break open the game with Gurley in the second using Mason a change of pace.
Issues with our passing as well. Cook didn't drop any except he has started to fumble on third down. Need to move the chains a little better when passing and avoid stupid penalties.
Defense great like usual although we are missing Ogletree and Long.
The amount of defensive turnovers is scary, keeping our offense in all game.

All in all nice game.

Only 1 third down conversion, unable to use any WR effectively other than Tavon and punting 8 times.

Offense still has huge issues and only got lucky due to making a few big plays.

2 x 60 yard TD's in one game -- not even the Greatest Show on Turf could do that.

Loss to the Vikings in OT, 18-21 -- Quinn a late withdrawal hurt the Rams -- our Defense lacked some menace

I thought we were the better team in the first half leading 15-10 at the break -- but the Vikings were clearly superior in the third with the breeze.

What hurt the Vikings was the hit of Joyner on Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater as he was sliding feet forward on the run.

Took Bridgewater out of the game as the Vikings were in command -- changed the game and allowed the Rams back in.

Joyner will enjoy a holiday for a while -- it was an ordinary hit.

Rams fall back to 4-4 and face Chicago at home next which will be huge. Need Quinn back for that one.

Steadman Bailey suspended for substance abuse this time. Seems rife in the NFL.

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, St. Louis Rams WR Stedman Bailey is being suspended four games for violating the NFL’s Substance Abuse Policy.

Bailey was previously suspended for four games in the 2014 offseason, though a renegotiation of the suspension by-laws saw Bailey's suspension reduced to just two games. With his first suspension related to performance-enhancing substances, this may be related to non-PEDs and thus not requiring a stiffer suspension for a second violation.

As Schefter reports, any appeal has been withdrawn. That would certainly explain why the Rams worked out three veteran WRs today as possible replacements on the roster.

This isn't the first run-in with the new policy rules for the Rams this year. RB Trey Watts was suspended for four games initially in May before running afoul of them again last week and facing a season-long suspension for his second violation.

A third year pro, Bailey was a third-round pick in the Rams' 2013 NFL Draft joining fellow West Virginia Mountaineer Tavon Austin to head to St. Louis. He has 12 receptions on 23 targets for 182 yards and a touchdown, scored against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 4, this season.

(UPDATED at 4:21pm ET)

The NFL has made the following official statement regarding Bailey's suspension:

Stedman Bailey of the St. Louis Rams has been suspended without pay for the team’s next four games for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.

Bailey’s suspension begins immediately. He will be eligible to return to the Rams’ active roster on Monday, December 7 following the team’s December 6 game against the Arizona Cardinals.

The Rams have benched Nick Foles for Case Keenum.

Foles was holding St. Louis' offense back with his inability to hit open receivers and generate any semblance of a consistent passing game. He was held to 200 passing yards or fewer in eight straight games before Monday's benching. Foles is due a $6 million roster bonus next March, and it's fully guaranteed as part of a two-year extension the Rams regrettably gave him in early August. Look for St. Louis to dangle Foles on the trade market this spring, seeking whatever they can get. They'd be truly lucky to find a taker.

---------------

Coach Jeff Fisher announced Monday that the Rams have benched Nick Foles for Case Keenum.

In March, the Rams acquired Foles, a 2015 fourth-round pick, and a 2016 second-round pick from the Eagles for Sam Bradford and a 2015 fifth-round pick. In August, they proceeded to sign Foles to a two-year extension with $13.8 million guaranteed. Benching Foles after nine starts is an obvious admission of defeat, but the benching was very much earned. Painfully inaccurate in the short and intermediate sections of the field, Foles managed a 56.6 completion rate and 6.6 yards per attempt average with a 7:6 TD-to-INT ratio and two lost fumbles. Foles' 27-touchdown 2013 season under Chip Kelly is shaping up as an obvious fluke. Two different coaching staffs have now determined that he isn't the answer. Keenum is an athletic, aggressive passer with scattershot ball placement but a willingness to pull the trigger on tight-window throws. The Rams acquired him from the Texans for a seventh-round pick this past spring.

Rams WR Stedman Bailey was shot in the head and hip in South Florida on Tuesday evening and is in the hospital.

Bailey was reportedly the passenger in a car with his cousin, the driver, and two younger relatives. Bailey was shot two times in the head, and is in critical, but stable, condition. The driver is in critical condition. Early reports are the injuries aren't believed to be life-threatening and Bailey will undergo surgery in the morning. Bailey is away from the team on a four-game suspension, which is why he's in Florida at the moment. Our thoughts are with Bailey and his family.

Rams fired OC Frank Cignetti.

He's been replaced by TEs coach Rob Boras. Boras last coordinated an offense for the 2003 UNLV Rebels. Cignetti was a desperation hire after coach Jeff Fisher couldn't get anyone else to take the job, but his firing is even more desperate. Cignetti's system was extremely vanilla, but it was due in large part to the fact that he lacked a quarterback, offensive line, receivers and tight end. He had essentially nothing to work with. The move will provide zero spark for the moribund Rams. Fisher is the issue. Not his play-callers.

Rams promoted TEs coach Rob Boras to offensive coordinator.

Boras is taking over for Frank Cignetti, who is being scapegoated for the Rams' comprehensive lack of offensive talent. It's a promotion in name only, as there isn't a coordinator in the world who could make St. Louis' offensive line, receivers and Case Keenum into a passable unit. Boras last coordinated an offense for the 2003 UNLV Rebels. He's been coaching tight ends in the NFL ever since.

Hip and back injuries.

Now we have an OC that can't teach TEs to catch a friggin ball no matter how many millions you throw at them and even if one is your second most expensive offensive player.

Seriously we are paying our two tight ends $17 million this year and they are dreadful. So let's promote the guy that coaches them to coach the whole offense so everyone is happy.

Coach Fisher gave Coach Boras a game ball following the W v Lions. The other he gave to Trumaine Johnson for his INT in the first half.

Good to see Gurley get some runs and TD's again.
