Analysis Stadium deals - what, how, when - why we need a new one and the SA footy paradigm shift happening

I happened to go have a read there earlier today ... One thing that stood out is that they all have different, strong opinions, with many vehemently supporting the SANFL. The two sides are just about scratching each other's eyes out!!! So different to here, where we are all on the same page!!

That's because we support a club, they barrack for a team.

They support a team that 'represents all the SANFL clubs' remember.. must still be plenty of SANFL campaigners in their supporter group.

This will go one of 2 ways.
1) A deal has been signed last week and this is the announcement.
2) Fagan and KT call out the SANFL as absolute pricks to deal with and start outlining exactly how much money is being made, who's making it and where it is going.

I think it may be number 2. Would actually be good if KT takes more of a back seat on this and lets Fagan rip. The dim witted Crows supporting public needs to hear this from one of their own.

Personally hoping it's more in line with number two. Any deal struck with the sanfl now would be rather compromised and probably just setting us up to squeak by even in the good times. We need to take the gloves off, take these campaigners to the cleaners, and agitate hard for a complete overhaul of the entire football system in this state. Anything less is just window dressing.

These campaigners need to be called out for what they are and full disclosure needs to be demanded. Only then, there is a possibility that the great uneducated football public will see that it ain't simply a matter of "Its all Ports fault". Sorry to invoke Godwin's Law here, but the SANFL have relied for far to long on Hitler's Big Lie technique. Their propaganda needs to be smashed.

The timing of the announcement of Hurley getting a spot on the SMA board seems crucial too.

Could that be a lever Port and Crows could pull to get some attention?
Perhaps with some behind the scenes help from the AFL?

Just thinking about the areas that the two clubs have leverage over the SANFL, especially with a united front.

mate Im talking about the hostage situation. There is going to be carnage. The fact a presser was announced this morning - before the hostage situation - and no time given is normal situation. If they want clear air they see what lines up for the day. Hockey is supposed to announce MYEFO. maybe they were waiting for that to happen.
