Would like to see a bigger number earlier. Seems much less than half our memberships from last year have not auto renewed. That means quite a few members signing up year on year, just watching what happens over the off season. We need more rusted on members, signing on through thick and thin!

Great News!!
Fans will enjoy free train travel to watch the Greater Western Sydney GIANTS play at Spotless Stadium at Sydney Olympic Park in 2015. The GIANTS and NSW Minister for Sport and Recreation Stuart Ayres announced all tickets to the club’s home games will include train travel to and from Spotless Stadium.
“Train travel on the day of the game will be included with all match tickets, GIANTS memberships and corporate ticket purchases at Spotless Stadium,” Mr Ayres said.

Not far off last year, but it is concerning that we are trending the wrong way. Comparing us with the Suns, it says a lot about on field success, and the anticipation of.

Apparently there are a bunch of dual swans/gws members who are making protest at the (now overturned) trading ban, by not renewing their GWS membership.

Meh... who cares, We'll take the real fans thanks.

Those numbers certainly tell a story, but we shouldn't be surprised to find a lot of people on the Gold Coast imbued with an aussie rules culture, with a team that just missed finals last year.

We are still having to prove ourselves, often to people who have not grown up with the game.

This concerns me a bit. It is so so so important to get crowds through the gates. People say that if we win more games people will come. Will they though ? I really thought with our strong finish last year plus the new additions there would be some excitement. Not backward steps. Fingers crossed

We are still at the bottom though. When we are mid to top the flow on effect will come(will happen the following year) We are still only 3 years old.

It's important to know, too, that there's always been an Aussie rules culture on the Gold Coast, whereas in western Sydney not so much. It's much more difficult to break into a market from scratch as opposed to the GC where there were already countless grassroots clubs and plenty of players from the GC currently in the AFL (including number 1 draft pick, Nick Riewoldt). Wait until the western Sydney has a total star in the draft in a few years and watch the aspirations to be an AFL footballer grow in the west.
