2012 - membership 10,243
2013 - membership 12,705
2014 - membership 13,047

With the growth were seen in membership numbers in our first 3 years when the on field results haven't always been great its not unrealistic to think that we could get close to 14,000 in 2015 in a year that we should be a lot more competitive and with a bit luck challenge for the finals.

Also our numbers should start to get a kick along as our young guns start to re-sign in coming weeks.

Looking forward to next season! Fifth year as a member, and doesn't time fly!

We are latecomers, starting in 2011, as a Sainter I resisted the pull for the first 6 months, and then said to my wife, we are going to have 2 footy memberships from now on...
Problem there is that whilst I am a lifetime Saint, she is only by marriage, the Giants are already her #1 team unequivocally, which I just can't do till the Saints win another flag.

Good to see those numbers growing or bit slowly, but how come this article then states that GWS membership numbers this season was around the 11,800 mark? I know it's an WSW wankfesting piece but where did the writer come up with that number Instead of the 13,047?

Not sure, I know last year we had approximately 11,600 ticketed members and 1,000 non-ticketed so he may have made an assumption based on that (although the same proportion of ticketed vs non-ticketed would make that number closer to 12,000 this year). Those numbers won't be known until the 2014 AFL Annual Report is released in March 2015.

the wanderers are indeed a unstoppable force

Who cares. Different season. Different sport.

Look a at my Avatar, look at my posts. I also know who I sing for. I can walk and chew gum at the same time. Don't be dissing the Wanderers, but don't be comparing them to us either.

I'll be buying a Family Gold ACT membership to help you guys out.

I like what you're doing as a club and look forward to seeing a few games in Canberra.

Now to see if I can find a GWS jumper with a big number 17 on it!

I know clubs run on membership but we are better off having lower membership numbers are more people at games. That what drives the players and creates an atmosphere that makes them want to stay.

No point having 17000 members and 5000 at games.

Need everyone that buys a membership to get on down !!

I have a good feeling about 2015

Go giants !!
