Are you referring to your suggestion being useless or the stat itself? If it's the stat then perhaps you're in the wrong place.
Its the stat, cause if you loose half the quaters eventually someone will line up the prick who keeps getting the clearances and then you'd be cooked

I guess I just expected some side other than Geelong to have hosted a game down there at some time, such as Footscray
Footscray played at the Western Oval until about 1997, and since then they've had Princes Park and Docklands on hand.

I know all that, but teams have played the odd game away from their usual home ground.

Geelong missed 3 seasons due to the wars, I guess the VFL did not think it necessary to schedule even a single game in Geelong in those seasons.

I think it was probably the last thing on their minds at the time.

Geelong weren't playing due to wartime travel restrictions, so the VFL wouldn't have scheduled other matches at Geelong.

The season started in a terrible way with the Geelong Football Club’s withdrawal from the competition, which resulted in just eleven teams participating and therefore ensuring a ‘bye’ each week. The withdrawal was due to war-time travel restrictions on various highways around the country and also due to the effects of war-time petrol rationing.

It's probably happened since but Hawthorn got done by 51 and 87 points in R17 & R18 in whilst sitting in 1st place in 1986. They held on to top spot and pulled themselves out of their funk by thumping Sydney by 99 and going on to win the flag.

Who is the youngest player to get a Brownlow vote?
The answer should be Tim Watson, as he got 3 Brownlow votes in his debut year (1977). He debuted at 15y 305d and was the fourth youngest debutant ever. Brownlow votes weren't announced on a game by game basis at that time, so there's a fair chance he was only 15 when he picked up his first vote(s). 2 of the players who were younger than Watson also received votes, but not in their first season.

Hopefully someone can give a definitive answer to this soon enough, at least as far as in more recent times when votes on a game by game basis (and therefore the players' exact age) have been known.

Essendon's aggregate losses in 2000 totalled 11 points, St Kilda's in 2009 totalled 19 points.

So, can I have a table of the best seasons ranked by aggregate losses?

Who is the youngest player to get a Brownlow vote?
Not answering your specific question, but Andrew Walker was the youngest current player to receive a vote, which he did on debut aged 17y 342d.

He is also the only current player to receive a Brownlow vote as a 17yo.

Back to your question, my guess is Tim Watson then Simon Madden.
