What is the biggest free kick discrepancy in a match?

West Coast are 20 'ahead' of Melbourne at half time.

Following on from my leading goalkicker question earlier, how many of the premiership leading goalkickers didn't actually play in the Grand Final and by extension aren't premiership players, at least for that season? Modra comes to mind as the most recent one (that I can think of), but I was just wondering if there are more.

Last time at least 6 sides didn't score 65 points or more?

Last time at least 6 sides had a percentage of 160% or more?

I'm guessing both are quite rare, in the modern era at least.

Does anyone know James Podsiadly's total games and goals for his career in the VFA?

What was his highest total of goals in one season?
How many times did he kick 10 goals in a game?

Trying to piece together what I can find:

    http://www.geelongcats.com.au/playe.../senior/season/2012/selected/bio/default.aspx

    Essendon/ Williamstown/ Werribee: 166 games, 371 goals

    2009: 17 games, 68 goals (Geelong)
    2008: 20 games, 73 goals (+ 3 finals, 13 goals) (Werribee)
    2007: 13 games, 46 goals (Werribee)
    2006: 18 games, 70 goals (Werribee)
    2005: 20 games, 72 goals (Werribee)
    2004: ??? goals (Werribee)
    2003: ??? goals (Werribee)

Won the Jim "Frosty" Miller Medal in 2005 with 68 goals.

I know he kicked 10 against Springvale in July 2004.

According to this week's AFL Victoria Record (matching what is in the 2012 Lists spreadsheet on the VFL website), 183 games and 439 goals. Sorry, but I've no idea about the other two queries.

1000 posts is now the cap, there were previously many threads with thousands of posts but each have been cut up into parts.

Ron the Bear you posted this

Do you have what is the wins/losses tally for that same break in the last 5 years and 10 years?

    Thanks in advance

Only happened 5 times in the last decade.

    2012 R2 Brisbane l. Carlton
    2010 R2 Brisbane d. Carlton
    2005 R2 Bulldogs l. Melbourne
    2004 R4 Richmond l. Geelong
2003 R5 Richmond d. Hawthorn (came from 51 points down)

The majority of previous occurrences would've been from the customary splitting of long weekend rounds, e.g. three games on Easter Saturday and three on the Monday, with some of the Monday teams playing the Saturday teams on the following Saturday.

    5 days v 5 days 3 matches
    5 days v 6 days 6-4-2-0
    5 days v 7 days 5-2-3-0
    5 days v 8 days 1-0-1-0
    5 days v 9 days 1-0-1-0

That was a message for SJ. The SEN threads are up to Part 9, the current one is over 1300 posts.

... which ODN has now taken care of.

I see that Fletcher has played Carlton 35 times.

Can someone put together a list of players, opposition team and #games >=35?

And who was the last player to retire that had played 30 games against a single opposition team?

Also, I'd like to know which teams have played each other 4 or more times in a season, and which season for each. Is Carlton and Fitzroy's 6 matches in 1916 the record?

Does anyone know the VFL/AFL record for most consecutive games of 40 or more disposals?

Gary Ablett Jnr has three in a row now dating back to round 24 last year. I can't seem to find anything that beats that.

I think Ablett's the only player to have done it in three consecutive games.

Twice: Ablett (2009 x 2), Shane Crawford (1999), Robert Harvey (1997), Chris McDermott (1992, unofficial), Tony Francis (1991, unofficial), Terry Wallace (1990, unofficial), Greg Williams (1985, unofficial).

This is not an actual stats question. What is the point of the Herald-Sun's Kiss of Death in the Friday footy tipping?

In today's edition (page 95), is it tipping each team to win by one point? The purpose of this entity taking its place in the footy tipping each week is baffling. There is certainly nothing clever or witty about its weekly appearance.

Anybody can determine that if you continually tip the underdogs each week you will not win a footy tipping competition. We don't actually need to see it unfold in such a bland and humourless fashion each week. Sports journos should never attempt humour. My rant is over.

Steve Malaxos moved to the Claremont midfield in 1983 and in rounds 18-21 he went 45, 45, 42 and 46 possessions. Not too bad.

I'm guessing that historically the KoD tips were used for those people in tipping comps that didn't hand theirs in on the Friday. These days with online tipping you tend to get the away teams.
