The plaintiff challenged the use of the "national interest" test and asked for orders directing the Minister to grant him a visa.
He also alleged that changes made to the Migration Act late last year did not affect his right to a visa.
Today the court unanimously found the decision made by Mr Morrison to refuse the visa was illegal, and ordered the current Minister to grant it.

Gillian Triggs should send a note of thanks to Scott Morrison and be ashamed of herself for this report according to the PM, the campaigner has finally jumped the shark. That said my view is that we all share responsibility for this situation, the hysteria over boat arrivals has led to the conditions that has allowed this atrocity to take place.

You dont need to be a rocket scientist to see something fishy in genuine "refugees" going to all the trouble to preparing a fake passport. Clearly dodgy and should have been on the first plane home. Alternatively its nuts to suggest "genuine" refugees gaining sanctuary from violent oppression could be so mistreated in Australia, that they become totally radicalised in 5 short years. And even if that was the case, what would it say about the underbelly of like minded jihadists we must have in our midst, who put them on this path to radicalisation?

Dont know or care, either way there goes your theory that refugees dont pose a security risk.. What bothers me is the tens of thousands of illegal immigrants into this country many of whom are turning out to have malignant pedigrees. We have allowed Islamist terrorists into our country because we were simply too swamped with “refugees” to check them out properly. God knows how many more are out there. Sadly, we will only find out when random Australian's are found lying on the ground beside their heads.

It's good to see that only 192 (and falling quickly) kids in detention compared to 1900+ under labour. The compassionate method works so well.
