Roys FC Vs Baghdad Bombers​

The Roys have been starved of a Premiership for 11 seasons now and will be hungrier than ever. New recurit pantskyle looks a likely type while the trusty group of new Captain Reardo, Mobbenfuhrer, Freakie and Broken will look to drive the team forward.The Roys weren't without injuries during the pre season, Mobbs fractured his back bone bending over to pick up a newspaper while Freakie sustained an acute esophagus strain while trying to drink a chudshake upside down hanging from a lamp shade.

The reigning premiers kick off Season 15 taking on the Roys. During the off-season club poster boy beez was annointed Captain and will be looking to start his reign as Captain with a big win. The club is in solid shape and has shown no signs of slowing down during the pre-season and will be a contender in S15. The off-season recruit of okeydoke7 will make the team even stronger and he will compliment the like of GeeDub and ShadowMan

Players to watch:

Reardo (Roys): The Captain looks in the best shape of his career, he has cut down on his chudshake intake and it looks to have paid dividends. He will be looking to set the example for the rest of his team

saintkildaman (Bombers): Having decided to leave during the off-season, he then chose not too when beez was appointed Captain. The Bombers faithful had their AK47's primed and looking for blood, he will be hoping to win back their favour with a big match.

Prediction:

The Roys home ground advantage wont be enough to hold off the reigning premiers. Bombers by 15 points.

Looking forward to getting stuck into the season proper. Obviously it's time we took some strides, or had pantskyle tailor us some. One finals appearance since reformation is not good enough, and that one felt like the diet coke of good seasons anyway. Not seasoned enough.

I am not sure I'm suited to the wing. Apparently I'm now Brokeback Mobbstain. But once I have a suit, I can try.

Season 15 is a new dawn for the Roys FFC, or as our haberdashery department likes to call it: a new adorn.

By the way all references to Red Dawn will be denounced in favour of shouts out to Steel Dawn.

I missed Oval on the end of it, if my computer wasn't having a melt down every time I tried to do something today I wouldn't of slipped up on that. I initially had it down as Brunswick Street Oval on my word document. I expected an error or 2.

Hehe that's because despite announcing it over and over again and complaining about it all through Season 14, it was still gotten wrong almost every round then too. I guess we'll just have to move. I hope my snide post on the roster thread might ring some action though

Just letting everyone know that the match WILL be held at the aboveimaged Brunswick Junction Oval, and not the Brunswick Street Oval. We considered accepting the change but FattyLumpkin said he's only just finished soldering the barbecue down on top of Roylion 's head, due to his being the only level-headed player on the team, and with his feet planted firmly on the ground, we are unable to relocate him.

I'm sure we all remember the last time the barbecue was moved.
