Official Match Thread Sweet FA S15 Round 2: Southern Dragons vs West Coast Wonders @ Dragon Island

The Dragons return home having been eclipsed by the Hawks in round #1 and will be looking for a much better performance from their stalwarts after solid games from PooMonkey, The Half Back and WishinAintGettin couldn’t carry them home. The side which dominated Season 14 for so long only to falter late, will need to pick up the slack at the Island and hope that last round was an aberration and they’re not a spent force.

The boys from the West Coast took inspiration from Europe under new captain ShaunDuggan, and turned their first game at the newly christened Coliseum into a fortress, spanking the Gumbies with half their goals kicked between Duggan and Demon Jim with both midfielders Frothies Mcveigh & Wise Guy Sam pulling 30 possessions and goals to sit on top of the ladder after 1 round.

Verdict
The Dragons will have to close ranks and rediscover their previous form if they hope to stand a chance, as the Wonders have too many up and about early. Wonders by 27.

Dear RUL,

I refuse to research the point but I'm sure we didn't beat you last season. If anyone seeks revenge it would be us because if we beat you a couple of times last season we would have had the chance to easily dispatch of you in the finals, an area that we can both agree you struggle with.

I think it's only right that we all assume you meant redemption. There is no need to attempt to take revenge out on us, we have done you no wrong. Yet. You'll need to wait till round 9 when we play you again before you get the chance to take revenge out on us for embarrassing you on Dragon Island.

Please note I seek revenge the loss for Round 1, and wish to gain this revenge against any team that steps upon Dragon Island. Thus, revenge for our Round 1 performance needs to be taken out upon the Wonders.

We hold no fear of Dragon Island, nor of the Dragons themselves., must be something to do with us having pet lions since our move to the New arena.
