The AFL has released the findings of the investigation into an allegation that confidential, game-sensitive information was disclosed by Michael Talia, then a Western Bulldogs listed player, to his brother Daniel Talia from the Adelaide Football Club, prior to the second elimination Final.

The investigation found the evidence does not support any finding that the AFL Rules have been contravened by Michael Talia.

The Adelaide Football Club has always maintained there was no substance to any allegations stemming from player conversations leading up to the Elimination Final against the Western Bulldogs.

With this in mind, we welcome the League’s findings which emphatically clear defender Daniel Talia and the Club of any wrongdoing.

Kyle Cheney is regretful that banter among friends escalated into a situation which the AFL deemed worthy of an investigation.

The Club will be making no further comment.

The AFL integrity commission has requested a uniform. They interviewed sixteen people over this? WTF?

Notice the differences between what the club has said, and what the AFL has on it's site?

I like the way the club has handled it.

The brothers confirmed there was a phone conversation and several text messages in the lead-up to their match, including Daniel's likely matchup on Bulldog Jake Stringer.

Since when does the attack decide which defender goes to who? It's not up to the bulldogs who plays on Jake Stringer. Next time we play the bulldogs we should put Caleb Daniel against Sauce in the ruck. Sounds like Daniel told his brother who he was manned up on.

Nah, I think you mis-read that ... I reckon they are saying that information went both ways? Or am I missing something?

Sue who?

My sense is he too busy running away, laughing and high fiving everyone he meets to want to re-open that can of worms

Does he really want some not very nice lawyers asking about his lost mobile phone or have a judge ordered discovery on the phone operators to retrieve the text messages?

opening this up can only go one way. And it's not good imo

He would sue the Western Bulldogs and potentially the AFL. His career has been damaged as has his reputation over a baseless set of accusations.

Michael Talia, that is - Daniel Talia probably just sits on his hands.

You believe the joke storytelling

Really?

I believe he was throwing mayo on it.

I believe the Talia brothers text most weeks, and probably often discuss football.

I don't believe we were given tactical information. I don't believe the coaches were told anything and we didn't apply any knowledge in our planning.

Michael Talia was told that Daniel was matching up on Stringer? The AFL must investigate!!! Bulldogs should be stripped of all of their picks. Beveridge must be suspended for 12 months.
No wonder they were all over us in the first quarter. I could see them reacting to our moves before we made them!!

Why didn't he clear it up when questioned by Beveridge?

I guess he panicked. Some folks don't do well when being accused or attacked. I don't see how it could have been a calm and reasoned phone call from Beveridge.

In any event, the AFL would know what was said in those calls, and they feel that it supports the decision they made.

Bulldogs have issues...
"The Western Bulldogs have reviewed the findings of the AFL investigation handed down yesterday in relation to the matter referred to it by the club concerning the possible leaking of game-sensitive information.

As a club we are troubled by certain aspects of the AFL investigation. However, our responsibility has been to ensure that our club complied with our fundamental values and obligations and we are satisfied that we have done so. We note the relevant finding of the AFL in relation to this point.

Honestly - they're just getting absolutely pathetic now.

The Doggies are absolutely top of the table at one thing---crying.

Apparently, they have no shame and even less pride.
