So now Ted MULRY's jumped in his car and headed to that Darktown Strutter's Ball in the sky.

Sad, sad week for lovers of 70s music. :(

    RIP Ted.

    Not wrong Blues Brat

    A very politically incorrect song.:D

    Bah. :(

One of my earliest childhood memories is my old man playing Ted Mulry Gang's rendition of "Dinah" to me & my sister for a laugh. It went waaaaay over my head back then: I just loved all the freaky sound effects ;)

Since the seventies I've encountered Ted Mulry on some '70s compilation records. "Jump In My Car" was possibly the best song to come out of Oz in the '70s; along with The Saints' "I'm Stranded".

    RIP Ted.

3 deaths of people in the music industry in the past week, what a shame it is.

May they all rest in peace.

    Aaliyah :(
    Graeme 'Shirley' Strachan :( :(
    Ted Mulrey :(

    This is terrible

Just horrible to see so many key figures in the world passing away. Commiserations to the families, friends and fans of Alliyah, Tel Mulry and Shirley Strachan as well football legend Fos Williams. Just a tragic time in the world for deaths. :(

Me too! :) That brings back happy memories. I surfed for some lyrics to it & was disturbed by what I came up with.

    Dinah
    (First verse and *Chorus*)
Dinah, Dinah show us your leg,
    Show us your leg,
    Show us your leg.
Dinah, Dinah show us your leg,
    A yard above your knee.

The rich girl wears a diamond ring
The poor girl she wears brass
The only ring that Dinah has
Is the ring around her ****

The rich girl rides a limousine,
The poor girl rides a truck.
But the only ride that Dinah has,
Is when she has a ****.

The rich girl wears a brassiere,
    The poor Girl uses string,
But Dinah uses nothing at all,
    She let's the ******* swing.

Yep, the 70's. A very troubled time indeed.

    RIP Ted.
