Think theyve packed up Carlton style and Norwood have a double chance to play for.

Right now, despite of any stats, no one is deserving of a call up.

Siggins has done some good and some bad.
M. Crouch appears to be getting a lot of the ball but not doing anything with it.
Reilly is Reilly.
Kegs is a little too defensively minded these days.
Rats hasn't done enough either.

Really is ridiculous.

Would it kill us to have a defensively minded mid, given our midfield has been running one way since Kerridge was injured?

Another selection blunder from Sando

Did LJ not watch the AFL team today??

His opportunity to push for next week not being grasped.........AGAIN!!

Of all the frustrations from this season, this has frustrated me the most. There should never be a situation in which we don't play someone because he's spent too much time either as the sub, or as a travelling emergency.

You can't always control how the players will react under pressure, or whether they'll execute their skills, but this is entirely under the coach's control. If playing him as a sub this week means he won't be able to play next week, then don't play him as the sub. Either give him a full game or drop him!

And then we have the even more absurd situation where he's not fit enough to play because we used him as the sub too often, but he apparently is fit enough to be a travelling emergency, who presumably would have been expected to play if someone else went down. So now not only is our emergency someone who was left out, ostensibly, because he's been mismanaged to the point of being unable to play, but we're also in a situation where he'll be even less match-fit next week, which is our last of the season!!

I'm willing to cut the coaches some slack because we have serious deficiencies in our list and it might just not be possible to polish them up enough to play quality footy, but that level of mismanagement of two young players in Grigg and Lyons has been disgraceful.

I'd like to see a new club rule introduced - every week a player misses out because he's been the sub once too often in recent weeks, the entire selection panel gives back their salary for that week since they clearly haven't earned it.

Brilliant post, Stabby. :thumbsu:

The mind boggles at how this can happen.
