There haven't even been whispers of him wanting to go back home. He's one of the most driven kids I've seen at Carlton in a couple of decades I'd say. The extra work he puts in is just astounding.

I'd suggest their different circumstances, mostly because they're very different people.

I know what you're saying but with Cripps it's different. Someone like Menz or Garlett/Yazz always seemed like they could be a flight risk every off season. Cripps doesn't seem that way at all.

Don't see Cripps as the mercenary leaving type. With the blues not stacked for talent and with 95% of the cap to pay he'll probably be getting paid quite well in the next few years.

The Ox reckons he has sold himself short signing early. In 3-4 years from now he'd only be on $500k I think it said. Would imagine we'd renegotiate it and give him more on longer deals if he keeps improving

3-4 years he'll get his big pay day. He'll be approaching free agency status by then.

We've signed him to 2019. Another top 2-3 B&F finish these next couple of seasons and we should be offering him big money on a new deal end of 2017

You should keep your mind on that premiership window which is a season or two from shutting for a very long time
