I had a feeling that Broughton might troll some teams this year, I am happy to hold onto him for now.

I hope he sticks the knife in by scoring 150 next week :).

What were you thinking at half time when he was on 25 points?

There were a lot of experts who traded out Broughton this week.

That he'd still probably score over 100 due to being a junk time specialist like the last two years.

Some of you lot have been brainwashed by the AFL media, who jump to conclusions more prematurely than that Kevin 'Bloody' Wilson song. Patience and trust is not that common these days

I traded out Broughton for Waters who has already has an injury scare in the 12 hours since lockout.

Broughton then goes and gets a ton.

To make matters worse a lot of his points came at the expense of Fyfe getting injured. Fyfe being a player in my team.

I thought getting rid of Broughton was meant to make my weekend less stressful!

I did think Broughton was capable of a big score this week (as he is any week) but I simply didn't want his volatility in my team anymore.

I'm hoping that when I look back at my decision in a few months time I will be satisfied. It would not surprise me if he gets 60's for the next month. This high score was simply to troll those who traded him out and to trick the rest into hanging on :p

He touched his sister, or he said a rude word in Canada?

;)

EDIT: I do actually, seriously feel for the Broughton -> Dempsey gang here... [I sure hope that's genuine enough for the DT gods... :p )

Glad I held onto him this week, but let's see how goes in a game where the ball is "trampolining" from end-to-end.
Right now I'm glad that I held onto him too but we will see how it goes considering a lot of his points came from switches of play in quarter 4 junk time. His third quarter was very encouraging though and he did play most of the game in the midfield so those are encouraging signs I believe. We will see how it goes long-term though, there is no point jumping to conclusions now.

summed up my exact circumstance. Just traded in Waters for Broughton, and in 24 hours im ****ing raging

I've got the same problem with Duffield now.

I'm not taking the price hit and punting he'll rise back up. It's just too risky.

I think I'll just downgrade him to Bugg or downgrade somewhere else and upgrade him to Goddard.

Only problem with Goddard is he isn't likely to score like that every week. Averaged a bit under 100 last year which is a real big worry for me.

Gets bashed gives me a 40 and guns it up the next week.

Media was bogus. I thought he'd be sub/ hospital bed.

Should've looked into it more.

At least I have Bugg now.

I traded out Broughton but I traded him for Shannon Hurn who hopefully should get the same score as Broughton or better against GWS today and he's about 100k cheaper than Broughton so at least I've made some decent cash out of the trade.

Don't forget that Broughton was playing Brisbane at home with plenty of cheap possessions on offer, he won't score as well when he plays good teams or plays away from home.

I got rid of him. I started with 5 premium mids in Swan, Watson, Selwood, Ablett, Boyd and backline of Deledio, Broughton, Lake, Conca, Clarke, Bugg, Hunt. Going top heavy in the mids I was hoping to get an early kick but guys like Magner and Greene largely negated my strategy over exposing me to my backline's shiteness. Seriously considered cutting swan to get in goddard and birchall but it was 3 trades and would have required me to cut Lake and Conca who both showed a bit in RD2. As such I tried to fix it by doing this.

Broughton > Waters
Hunt > Hargrave

Couple of better mid pricers who should between them average about 80 each which is an improve on the 80 total I was getting from Broughton.

Fyfe's injury has changed Broughton's role again but I'm still more confident of getting a decent combined score out of my back until I can get some more premiums.
