Toast The media....*Nods Head*

Jacko is a smart cookie. He is marketing the crap out of himself, his new cloths line and anything else he can muster up. No doubt the lad will play his guts out for our great club and he will end up doing quite well for himself after footy.
Had a good laugh last year, while making the mistake of debating with Crows fans on bay 13 about which players should make up a composite Port/Crows team for 2014. They mocked the suggestion that Trengove should be a lock for the back 6. He continues to be underrated by many outside the club: hopefully he'll have the last laugh soon, when he's got a premiership medal around his neck!!!

Yes agreed.

People tend to forget he has had a bit of time out on injury along with interrupted pre seasons. He is a pivotal part of our team, not from just his height, ability and guts but also his mental attitude.

Edit....Mental strength seems to be so underrated. look at Kane Cornes for example. The guy is certainly not the most polished player in the AFL, he has done it with pure guts and mental strength, there is a reason he is so fit, he didn't just wake up one morning being the fitness beast he is.

People who don't rate Jackson Trengove or don't understand what he brings to our football team don't know anything about football.

So most Adelaide customers then.

They are the types whose opinions of players are based on dream team rankings.

Honestly, judging him solely on his footballing ability, I would rate him just above average (for the AFL that is, which is still an incredible level of talent). He's a good honest tall defender who gets the job done with a minimum of fuss and can be a handy back up ruck. But its his leadership which truly sets him out, and thats why many outside the club dont rate him. All they see is the above average footballer. They dont see him on crutches giving advice to younger teammates, they dont see him rallying the boys during half time, and they dont know that he's probably the sole reason that while the crows were losing players left, right and centre, and we spent three years with worse results than Melbourne, we re-signed Gray, Boak, Hartlett, Lobbe, Jonas, Broadbent, and everyone else I have forgotton to list. He was the first one, back at the end of 2011, to stand up and go "no, this is not how Port Adelaide does it. Port Adelaide doesnt chuck in the towel and run away. We stay and fight and win. You're either with us or against us." Opposition supporters dont see that.

Its funny how we all go on about how great Hinkley is because he's a real Port Adelaide type of person, but I reckon Jacko might have him beaten in that regard.

Speaking of media, hands up those who are salivating at the prospect of the "Crows Show" on Channel 7 every week? :drunk:

Mr SA (aka Bickles) to host it.

Titus O'Reily's take on the crows' show is funny reading.

Channel 7 announces new Adelaide crows show
The Adelaide Crows will produce their own television show in 2015, to be aired on Channel 7 in Adelaide.
The Crows Show will provide supporters unparalleled access into Adelaide’s disappointing 2015 season.
Dual-premiership captain Mark Bickley will host the weekly program and said it would provide another outlet for Crows fans to vent their anger as the season heads south.
“This season seems promising, which is only going to make things worse,” said Mr Bickley.
“Imagine if this show was on when the Crows lost to Melbourne last season. There would have been more swearing than an episode of Deadwood.”

Now know. If the "customer" is always right then where is all the love
on their board now that they are all customers. Strange eerie silence about the "c" word.
A good corporation looks after their customers.
Happy customers = happy shareholders = good corporate governance.
simples and smart.

Tom Rockliff being the best midfielder in the league, for one
Wasn't he one of the Brisbane players who mocked Polec for returning home to Adelaide? Who's laughing now, eh?
