Wow, that article is appalling.

Also McCarthy's incident was nothing to do with WHS. Not even slightly.

What would be the Fiveaa equivalent of Basil Zempilas being relieved by Tim Gossage

(this is not a hypothetical question :eek: )
KG was replaced by Rowe

'Imbecile' assumes a manner of innocence. There's a calculated streak behind Rowe's ignorance.

Yeah, people too easily fall into the "oh, he's just an idiot" trap, that the things he says can perhaps be excused because he was too stupid to know what he was saying. Rowe is certainly no Rhodes Scholar but there's most definitely a method to his madness. He's savvy enough to know how to manipulate public opinion on a given topic and knows his audience and plays them to perfection. It doesn't take brains to do that, just a certain amount of cunning and evil.

Imbecile doesn't assume or imply a degree of innocence, it is just a level of intelligence above moron and below idiot and is pretty much synonymous with stupid. I do agree with you and finbarr that Stupid is cunning and manipulative but then I have also seen four year olds that are the same.

Some People under estimate how much damage Cornes ,Cunningham and Rowe have done and continue to do. If you hear the same s**t over and over a lot of people believe it.

The SANFL insider is flatly wrong on the Etihad negotiations for one, when that contract was renegotiated in 2009 it took months, not an hour.
Wrinkles also ignores the point that the AO contract was signed at gunpoint to save the SA government (and others) major embarrassment on the basis there would be a later review of operating costs and financial returns.

Sadly, the SANFL can never win a propaganda war against the Crows and Port, but its status and indeed its relevance should never be undermined as it is being now.

It’s Australia’s oldest football league; it has guided South Australian football to be the envy of the country; it has the responsibility for all levels of football in the state, not just the bloated professionals who want to take more and more from those who can afford it least. Most importantly, were it not for the resources, courage and strength of the SANFL, there would be no Crows, no Power and no new Adelaide Oval.

Despite KT’s gospel to his true believers, Port has taken far more from the SANFL than it has given.

Adelaide Oval alone will not save Port Adelaide. There has to be more revenue from its members, sponsors and other business streams. With 42,000 members already compared to 33,000 at this t ime last year, Thomas’s propaganda is obviously working. But is it the truth?

<facepalm>
