Dont forget MWP either, need some defense!!

Also think they might just see how things pan out for the first part of the season with this group and monitor Dwight Howard if he is to remain in Orlando. If Dwight is still there and going ok after back surgery and the Lakers are not satisfied with Bynum or Gasol's output then we might see some more change before trade deadline.

This will only be the case if they don't get Dwight over the line in the next week or so and the magic and nets cant organise something.

The thought of Ray at the Heat is a scary one. Huge boost to them, even if he just sees limited minutes off the bench.

What a weapon to be able to bring into the game for a change here and there.

As a Laker fan I'm optimistic about our season but can't see us beating the Heat with Ray.

That all changes if we get Dwight, but. Can't see it happening but the Lakers have a history of pulling big trades out of nowhere so who knows.

Lakers are into Dwight big time but Bynum is being an arsehole by refusing to sign an extension with the Magic if traded there.

This has seen Magic resume talks with Brooklyn again as this stance by Bynum has turned them off him a bit.

Lakers still need to get younger and more athletic at the 4 spot somehow so they can defend pick and roll better.

Rondo believes the press too much. Some of his antics this year were unBoston like
Ray will be such a threat if you don't mark him. If anything keeps the def up so it will not collapse inside.
 
Looks like Magic, Nets and Cavs are about to finalise a deal centred around Lopez heading to Magic, Kris Humphries heading to Cavs and Dwight to Nets and some future draft picks thrown the Magics way as well.

If I were the Magic there is no way I would send Dwight to his preferred destination the way he has treated them unless they are completely satisfied with what they are getting in return.

Still a bit to play out as there is a possibility of a fourth team entering the equation and could involve up to 10 or more players, more draft picks and cash, very complicated!

DWil, JJ and Dwight would make the Nets serious contenders in the east if they can get some decent play from their bench which might be thin because of the guys they have to cut loose to get Dwight.
 
Cant see it, looks like the deal between Nets, Cavs and Magic etc has broken down which is not surprising really with the amount of players they needed to agree to moves etc.

Lakers and Houston appear to be the best prospects in the west at this stage, if the Clippers could get him they would certainly contend in the west though.

Heat are about to add Rashard Lewis to their roster but am not sure he can get back to his best but certainly can help their bench scoring!

Bynum is just not worth the fuss and Dwight just a secondary. Celts should get both for chicken feed. Ayup
 
Dwight might be managed by David Cloke and Ralph Carr also....

Nets have moved on from Dwight also signing Brook Lopez to a 4 year extension today, He was the main bargaining chip in getting D12 but appear to lost patience in trying to facilitate a deal!
 
Houston have waived Luis Scola via amnesty clause, making room for either D12 or Pau??

Mavs have picked up Elton Brand and about to get Chris Kaman rumour has it, both will be good additions for the Mavs.
 
Finally looks like the Lakeshow get their man with D12 reported to be heading to Staples and the temperamental Andrew Bynum being traded to Philadelphia as part of a 4 team trade, 76"s also lose AI to Denver!

Sad to see Bynum go but we had to give up something big for Dwight.

Stoked that we managed to keep Pau.

A starting lineup of Kobe, Dwight, Pau, Nash and MWP is orgasmic. Puts us right up there in terms of championship contention.

And still building the bench J, will be right there when the whips are cracking again!!

Bynum was going to be hard work and may have hindered a title with he's petulance and unpredictable behaviour.

D12 gives us more defensive presence to compliment our offensive firepower, great get!:thumbsu:
