Yeah of course man, can't see Port finishing lower than 5th I was just saying if you played Norf, I think you'd give them a spanking.
It would be nice. Be nice just to make the finals. No chance of beating Port though. Although would it be possible to sneak in beat North and your lot lose the QF and we could end in an Elimination final against you guys?

We'd lose but it would be cool anyways.

I'm actually not super confident against you guys, although it would be amazing to see a derby final.
I'd actually think you'd beat Port by the way, Port were amazing early on but I dunno if it's just lack of confidence or just their training/game plan wearing them down, but I think you can beat them. You should have beaten them here at Subi when they were in some form and you belted Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.

I dont know, we are pretty shaky. We should have beaten Essendon on the weekend to almost secure finals footy but gave up a 34 point lead. No lead is safe with us as we cant stop a run on. Port certainly arent the team they were at the beginning of the season though.

But it's all just a hypothetical. We probably wont squeeze into the 8. Need a bit to our way just to get there.

Ok so is it just me or do all of you guys cry when you watch Warrior? Maybe im just a big girl but that movie always seems to get me. I dont cry, their is just always someone chopping heaps of onions in the room when I watch that movie. Also their is so much dust in the air when I watch it. Much dust.

Seriously though it gets me every time I watch it. I freaking love that film. Maybe it's because I have a really close family, have one brother and both me and my bro are really close to our Dad that it hit's home.

I mean we dont all have the baggage, nobody is an alcoholic, nobody is estranged and none of us hate eachother. But it's just all the father son dynamics, the brothers dynamics. Just gets me every time.

But apart from all that, it's a truly wonderful film. The pacing is great, the script is tight, it well directed and the acting is absolutely superb, particularly Nick Nolte who is outstanding! But it's the characters that draw you in. You are so invested in the Father looking to get sober and find redemption and find the love of his sons again. The young brother struggling with PTSD from his stint in Iraq and his responsibilities to his best friends family and also his issues with his brother. Then the older brother struggling to keep his family afloat and at risk of losing the house and his issues with his brother and his alcoholic father.

You dont know who to go for and the first time I watched it I didnt know who I wanted to win, how they were gonna do it, how will they finish this story and satisfy me completely but then the music, the emotion, Nick Nolte's face and acting chops and then "I love you, I love you Tommy"

Jesus christ... im a mess every time.

Great film :D

Oh if you havent seen it. Do it immediately!

I have not seen the Warrior, nor do I know what it's about.

I cry listening to music sometimes.

Two gripes on films I have recently watched.

In Time

Ok so this film is about how people now trade in time and not money. Once you turn 25 you have one year to live and you have to work to make time and add it to your life. The rich live forever, the poor die.

Justin Timberlake is poor. Helps a guy who has been alive for over a century from getting killed when he is trying to get killed because he has lived too long and wants to die. Because JT helps him, he gives him the 110 years or whatever he has on his clock, then dies. So JT goes from living day to day to having the next 110 years of life, well as long as he doesnt die in a random act of violence or whatever.

So his mum dies cos he cant get to her in time. Then with his new found wealth he goes to the wealthy area of the city and decided to go to the casino and gamble his new found life. It's ridiculous. He calls off 200 years of his life on an open ended straight draw so at best he has 8 outs, maybe less. He gets lucky on the river and makes his straight moves all in and wins a s**t ton of years. Now like 1,100 years.

But why the * would someone who has lived day to day his entire life, worked for time, striving to keep his mother and him alive for years and years to then finally have all the time he needs, then go and recklessly gamble it? It made no sense. That part of the movie really sucked.

Ok the second movie I was watching was Source Code.

Jake Glynehall or however you spell it is a dead helicopter pilot who's brain still works. Through some science bullshit he can relive the last 8 minutes of someones life on a train. He can do it over and over again to find out why and who blows up the train to ultimately stop a terrorist attack.

In the end, spoilers if you havent seen it. He figures out everything but also figures out that the people on the train dont have to die and he can create an alternate reality where he can go on living inside this other guys body.

Ok so great, he saved the girl, he saved all the people on the train and he saved all the people that would have died in the second bomb attack, and he saved himself. But nobody mentions the one bloke he does kill. The bloke inside the body which he takes over. That guy is dead, Jake Glyenwhatever stole his life and now lives inside his body.

Also he ruins other lives, he still looks like the other bloke and people will still see him as the other bloke, he will have new parents, new family but they wont be his, they will be the blokes who's body he took over so he wont love them the same, wont have any memories of them and that will no doubt show quite quickly, ruining his families lives and devastating his parents as in body, their son is right there, but in soul, inside he is gone.

Nobody ******* mentions that.

RANT OVER.

Not sure about great. It was different but I didn't find it that enjoyable. As Jod mentioned, it was full of flaws.

Saw Guardians of the Galaxy the other night. That was ******* weird.

Really? Thought it was amazing and everyone seems to have loved it.
