I seem to recall that Kobe refused to play anywhere but the big market teams. Hornets drafted him anyway to trade him I guess?

i believe the person you are referring to was steve francis.

kobe didnt refused to play in MC. his agent said he wouldn't, but kobe never refused it. in fact i remember on draft day he was happy wearing the hornets cap
