Gave up my ticket to the scorchers final tonight due to a horrific hangover and what a great game it was I missed.

Gotta hand it to Perth crowds at the WACA ... Fantastic atmosphere, no drunken morons and entertainment galore. 4 years in row for a final... Not bad at all.

Yeah that was a great grinding win. Was there with family. A few beer snakes went around in the end and the police and security cracked the shits.

Unfortunately despite what some morons on the SRP board think socialism is alive and well in parts of authority. The Scorchers bloody well deserved those home finals.

So that's why you weren't at the Glory tonight. You missed a cracker of a finish and the most bent refereeing I have ever seen.

Where did you sit gaskin? We sat at the opposite end of the shed and the guy with the speakerphone was annoying as ****.

In the active bay where you must have been. The guy with the megaphone was great tonight compared to others who usually do it.

Do WA people get annoyed at the odd start times of AFL games (or other sports) to cater for tv viewers in the eastern states? Or are most people used it, or simply don't give a *?
I prefer it. Cant stand what time the gsmes start when Im over East. I guess its just what youre used to.

Took me 10 years to get used to the gf starting at 12.30..now it seems normal to start drinking at 10 am on the great day.

You take the good with the bad. The tennis is great. Night sessions starting at 4ish and if there is an epic ot finishes around 11 not 2 in the morning

Aka Darth used his influence to screw us

Damn right.

I grew up believing that most test match days went from 7:30 to about 2:30. You get used to it.

You get used to it but it is annoying at times.

Awesome on Boxing Day.

Get up and Crickets already on. Gives me an excuse to crack a couple of beers before lunch.

Good for watching cricket on days off and I like that footy starts at 11 on a Saturday or Sunday, but Friday night footy and any sport on a weekday sucks because you'll always miss the start.

I wouldn't change grand final day at all.

Wake up, have breakfast than rock up to your mates place at about 10-10.30 with a few slabs for a big day
Each to their own but it starts too early and it's all over too quickly for mine. Would way prefer it pushed back a couple of hours so you can get warmed up first and have a proper feed or BBQ before the main event for the day starts.

Melbourne cup day is worse. I haven't got into the spirit of the day for years. Just too early in the day for the race.

I like earlier starts and finishes for footy matches in that it Finishes just after 8, plenty of time to head out and do other stuff. That said, games over here should start at 7:30 local time, especially on Friday nights.

And midweek 4pm starts are ridiculous for the BBL.

Yep it's ok for waca members enjoying the late evening shade...the rest of us cook in the sun until the last 30 mins of the game.
