Ello,
Having my 21st this year and it's nearing, so I've got to sort out a venue to hold my 21st at. Wondering if anyone on here knows any good places in Melbourne? Hotels etc.
Looking at about 80-100 people, any assistance would be much appreciated seeing as I am a lazy, lazy disgrace. Cheers
And couples have to bring a third wheel.Only Springsteen allowed on the playlist though.
Been offered a new job position at a different company, without going into the details the pay is good and a great company only thing that is "irking" me a bit for lack of a better word is 6:30 finishes. I live about an hour away from door to door, will getting home at 7;45ish be too late to do after work activities with family and friends?
Of course if I want to go out for dinner or have drinks somewhere I can go straight from work so it doesn't end up being too late. Not a major issue, just wanted to know what people think? I'm sure there are plenty on here that finish around that time.
I couldn't do it. Got to have that work/life balance. I reckon if you're asking the question and it's bugging you then it's not the right move.
For the last few weeks (until last week) I started at 10.30 on Tuesdays and worked later. It was awesome.I start at 10:30 I think however if that changes anything.

It depends what your priorities are. CBD location is ideal if you have friends/family in different places, so you can meet in the city straight after work for dinner or drinks. If you're after career progression then it sounds like you're in the right place (not sure if the 'customer service issues' relate to your current job or your new offer?)
Being close to home is convenient, but if it's a dead end job then how much satisfaction will it give you?

But it depends on you, and your lifestyle. If you don't value getting up later and missing all the traffic, and missing all the traffic on the way home, and being smack in the middle of the city, then it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. But if you do value being ten minutes from home in normal business hours then that's the job for you.
Take the city job and use the extra money to move somewhere closer.
Thats the type of out of the box thinking i likeTake the city job and use the extra money to move somewhere closer.
Ikea, surely? K-Mart? Freedom?Does anyone know where I can find shelves like this:
I google and I google but I only find teeny weeny ones.
They don't have any long enoughIkea, surely? K-Mart? Freedom?
I don't know any shelf makersThey could be bespoke, someone who knows better about these sort of thing than I could probably build them for you.
My oldest friend is a lawyer by day, and a woodworker by night. He's made a lot of my bookshelves, he'd know how to do them. You'd have to use a fairly light wood I'd imagine. They don't have any long enough
