Just improving basic skills, need to be better kicks and less fumbly. Sydney and Hawthorn were both a lot cleaner with ball in hand this season. While we are better than most sides, we are likely going to have to beat 1 or both of these sides next season to win a flag in September.

Keep a squad goal kicking ladder/rank based on every player taking 35 shots at goal (5 kicks from each of 7 standard positions around and inside the 50), 5 days a week. So every practise shot taken has ranking points resting on it, hence practising under pressure. Publish the results weekly to ramp up the pressure.

Absolutely agree with this, our midfield rarely makes space for themselves via handball. Sydney and Hawthorn are exceptional and Port aren't far behind. Our midfield drops the boot on the ball far too quick which often goes 30m directly to the opposition. It's something they should work on this summer.

Could not agree more with this. I had the same thoughts when watching Sydney in the QF and Port during the SF. Really need to stop the bomb it in type of clearance plays. We do that way too often for mine.
