I'd take it...Kennedy is just too small... Young is bigger and looks more aggressive when he plays, which wasn't much this year from memory...looked OK last year

No more midget mids. Strong bodied and 183cm plus only. It's the way the game is going.

The only sub 6 footers we should be looking at are specialist crumbing forwards who can sit at Clokey's feet.

Lol. After 1 yr they can walk. 2 yrs gives you the chance of trading them under contract. And depth players won't demand much, worth getting a punt if we can't use picks to get potential best 22 in.

That's pretty much my opinion on the matter too. I'm not thrilled with the possibility of getting Aaron Young, but I don't think Kennedy will make it. Probably being a bit rough, but size aside and even more importantly, his disposal is woeful. I'd rather cut our losses and try again with another young guy. No pun intended.

Young reminds me a bit of Crisp prior to coming here actually. A tall midfielder who usually played on the flanks but excelled on the inside, has a bit of pace to differentiate from our slow midfield without necessarily being a speed demon and both pushed out due to lack of opportunity. Both had shown signs of being good players, but had big question marks on their kicking. Crisp has a neat kick now, but when he was at Brisbane, he was known as a bit of a ball butcher.

I'd have him on to replace Freeman on the list.

Still don't think he's worth losing Kennedy over, though. We need small forwards with crumbing skills, if we aren't going to play Kennedy in that role, then we need to find someone who can.

With this weak draft, I'd hold onto anybody not explicitly wanting out, that means Kennedy and Seedsman stay even if it means we don't get Young. But I'm not the list manager. Besides, getting Young has nothing to do with Seedsman, so I'm not sure where you're going with that.

There are exceptions to the rule, yes. But you've been banging on for years about the short people in our midfield. You probably would've said exactly what Tails is saying back in 2013, except adding a bit at the end where it's Buckley's fault. You're just being contrarian to get a rise, though that's obvious enough. Still, it gets annoying.

Havent always got the time to read through the mega trade thread. Don't mind speculative trade theories being confined to this thread, but specific players mentioned in the media should have their own thread. The 3 way tread is primarily about Young so this thread should be merged, but could the mods include Young in the title.
