Talked to Cutler at the post match function after our win against the Saints in Wellington.

I asked him what team he grew up supporting and he said he liked the Lions growing up :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

He said he was stoked to get drafted by us, said he expected to get drafted but not by us.

Definitely on the Culter bandwagon, he's not going to get "homesick"

now this kid will be a player ! liked his composure and he has the build of a senior player already , great pick up

Kids got some go. Love in the opening quarter him charging through 3 north players and takin the game on

I am really happy about him. I was talking to him today at the sponsors function and he was saying he didn't get much footy last year and he can't wait to get into pre season and get fitter. He is going to be a beauty

Meanwhile, Brisbane is also confident of adding one-year extensions to the deals of first-year players Daniel McStay and Tom Cutler. “There’s no alarm bells there. They have both indicated they are very happy and very keen to stay. We are staying in constant contact with their managers,’’ Warren said.

Reserves Wrap - Southport Sharks - 11/04/2015 (Shane Woewodin’s comments)

Tommy’s been working on his contested ground work stuff, certainly his offence game is going really well. He had a big impact on the game offensively with his handball receives and running off half back. He kicked three goals, was moved into the midfield in the last term where he kicked two of them, just to give us some run around the ground. Will certainly knock for a senior spot during the week given his ability to run off half back. He’s improving every week.

Reserves Wrap - Sydney - 30/05/2015 (Shane Woewodin's comments)

Back into the side on Saturday, probably played a different role just due to the fact of our lack of experience on the weekend. Probably started him wing/back and we lost one early so had to play him more as an inside mid, just to give us a bigger body and some run out of the midfield. Much better in the contest, found a bit of the ball for us, which was really important. Some of his defensive skills through general play will be his RFI going into next week.

Reserves Wrap - Sydney Swans - 12/07/2015 (Shane Woewodin’s comments)

Tommy was probably our second best player for the day, he had over 30 (disposals). Provided a lot of give and go from half back with some run. He played midfield in the second half, and more so the last quarter. Still his RFI’s for Tom, he’s still working on his contested game to really be stronger in the contest. But certainly played an OK game for us off half back.

Reserves Wrap - Sydney Uni - 19/07/2015 (Shane Woewodin’s comments)

A different role for Tommy, he played as an inside mid and had a job to do on one of their more experienced midfielders. A bit of a mixed bag this week in terms of contest stuff and didn’t work as hard as what we wanted him to. A different role but something certainly very good for his development in the contest side of the game for him.

Reserves Wrap - GWS - 25/07/2015 (Shane Woewodin’s comments)

Tommy was asked to put his head in the hole and play as an inside mid and get his shorts dirty, make sure he works really hard on his contest game and his ability to play in tight. He was able to win a lot more ball again, which wasn’t a focus but it was good to see him win some pill, be in more contests and have more tackles this week which is a good sign. Still some areas to improve on, particularly around the contest and some defensive stuff. We want to see him run more through the game, we felt he had walked too much as a midfielder throughout the day.

Reserves Wrap - Sydney - 01/08/2015 (Shane Woewodin’s comments)

Tommy again played as an inside mid. He had a lot of the ball but probably didn’t have the impact he probably should have throughout the day. Still got to work really hard on his running and his contest skills where he finds himself walking a lot throughout the game. We just need to see more effort and work in this area from Tommy at this level to be able to play senior footy.

Reserves Wrap - Gold Coast - 08/08/2015 (Shane Woewodin’s comments)

We threw Tommy down back this week to give him a chance to play senior footy again. He did some really good things. He had some big plays where his offensive was his main focus this week, just to stimulate a bit of flow for us and give us some run off half back. There are still some areas to work in defence and the contest but certainly a lot more improvement on the previous week.

Fantastic work from Adcock to find Cutler streaming down the corridor. Terrific finish from Cuts. Will be a handy player:thumbsu:
did give him a spray a few minutes later for taking a shot outside the 50, no good doing that to a young player trying to find his feet

They are fully grown men and professional footballers... If they can't handle a spray for blazing away instead of lowering their eyes and hitting one of the free targets inside the 50 they won't make this level. I remember the instance you are talking about and there were one or two free options inside 50 that Cuts should have hit up.
