This is a fascinating comparison, as GWS originally rated one player as its best midfielder on $1 million+ a year, while they delisted the other and he's gone on to be at least equal to their #1 pick. Nonetheless, their stats are not that far apart, making it a fair comparison for 2015.

Scully / Miles

D: 19.8 / 24.4
Cont: 7.8 / 11.2
Eff: 73.5% / 75%
Clr: 3.1 / 6.6
Tck: 4.5 / 4.3
SuperCoach: 79.1 / 99.6
SuperCoach salary: $395,000 / $488,000
Estimated real salary: $1,100,000 / $80,000

Money aside, who will be the better player in 2015?

2015 is Scully's year. He has a much better midfield group around him now and this will help him improve.

Ask any Melbourne supporter he's already a massive Josh Hunt.
I know what you mean but when (while Scully was there) did Melbourne even have an open premiership window?

Scully's only achievement in life was rooting my friend when he was 15, funnily enough she's found herself - a lesbian.

Love Miles' attitude, seems to be really standing out in preseason so far. Hope now that he is elevated to the senior list, he will still have the same hunger and drive (so far the signs are good).

As for Scully, he's more than welcome to come home to Richmond once his GWS contract is up. Might need to take a big pay cut but he'd be welcome otherwise :)

Maybe there should be polls about was it in Richmonds best interest to get Jordan McMahon instead of the pick that the dogs used for it to get Ward.or the other to get Joel s brother Patrick and countless other ones they screwed up. The football public know to this stage it was a silly move to get Scully, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.Just reeks of Ner Ner Ner type of a poll.

McMahons after the siren goal against Melbourne in round 20 2009 probably secured Richmond Martin.

Typical poll containing a Richmond player. Tiger supporters the only ones voting for miles with all negative comments from the other clubs. Looks like we'll have another year of it being fashionable to bag us. Who in their right mind would pick Scully after the year Miles had. Dumb haters.

"Tom is a running machine. His defensive side of the game is extraordinary," Cameron told the Herald Sun.

"He is the best by a country mile at two-way running I have ever seen.

"He will go hard (forward) but even harder defensively, which is great for our young mids."
