Round 1 - Best And Fairest results

3 - Jarryn Geary (42)
2 - Tom Liberatore (42)
1 - Jack Grimes (38)

There was a statistical tie between Jarryn and Tom, i decided this by awarding the votes then to the player who scored highest in my closest category (Marks), with Jarryn winning this 7 marks to 5. Jack Grimes was third with a great score of 38.

Is this different to the league medal?

Round 2 - Best And Fairest results

3 - Tom Liberatore (43)
2- David Zaharakis (35)
1 - James Kelly (33)

Another standout performance form the Toffs young ball winner Tom Liberatore in the round 2 loss to the Hurricanes. He was joined by round 1 substitute David Zaharakis with 2 votes and debutante player James Kelly with 1 vote. It was a disappointing loss which is magnified by two players playing their first full games for the Toffs leading the way for the home side.

Jarryn Geary - 3 votes
David Zaharakis -2 votes

The cream finally rises towards the top in round 3 as the Toffs two top recruits deliver solids onto the field. Josh Kennedy worked tirelessly all day racking up 42 points, while Jack Redden followed suit effortlessly accumulating 40 of his own. Mathew Wright fills out the top 3 after just missing out on the votes in round 1, getting the recognition his consistency deserves.

Round 4 - Best And Fairest results

Round 4 was a hard week for the Toffs on field, falling short when needed, and lacking discipline in regards to both Frees for and against. Anyway the top performers were great in terms of performance but injuries mean that these scores were not enough to set up the Toffs for a win overall. Jack Grimes scored 44 which is great in the backline, and i feel he deserved recognition ahead of some of those in the league votes, i dont know how they are counted. Young gun Tom Liberatore keeps up the good work even after the return of Boyd, what a great mid draft selection he has ended up being. Finally the one vote, Mark Jamar has worked hard in the ruck for a few weeks but i think finally he has given me some possessions and marks and tackles at the same time, a well deserved vote for the Big Russian.

3 - Jack Grimes (44)
2 - Tom Liberatore (42)
1 - Mark Jamar (57)

Round 5 - Best And Fairest results

Great week at the office for the Toorak Toffs, bouncing back strongly after the previous disappointing defeat. Coach Jordie_tackles was heard saying how happy he was with the tackle numbers this week after being right down previous week. He also made special mention of the difference that Mark Jamar and Max Gawn are making in the ruck, "having two function rucks like this is great,we didnt have it earlier in the year and it cost us some points, not only this but they combined for three goals".

"I also need to single out the efforts of "Zaha" he was immense, he scored 4 goals and kept it all neat and tidy, racked up so many points i think another 39 and really helped us out early. De Boer too, had slightly less of it overall but he laid 9 tackles and was really the difference in this area when we only won that category by 3. Josh Kennedy is unlucky to miss out, he was good alround but didnt pull us over the line in other categories like the boys that i have talked about now.

TOM LIBERATORE WINS INAUGURAL TOORAK TOFFS BEST AND FAIREST AWARD AFTER A STUNNING SEASON BY THE MIDFIELDER

It is with great pleasure that the Toorak Toffs Football Club announce Tom Liberatore as their inaugural best and fairest winner. Toms season began in round one where he was declared the second best Toff on count back.

Toms spectacular season has been highlighted with 5 best on ground and 3 second best on ground performances, while polling votes in nine rounds out of a possible 15. He was a prolific accumulator within the Toorak Midfield amassing 40 point games on numerous occasions.

Toms season was also highlighted with his willingness to compete and excel with many of less fashionable statistics such as tackles and marks.

As a reward for being the inaugural champion and winner of the Toorak Toffs Best and Fairest the award will forever be known as the Tom Liberatore Medal. This medal will be awarded to best and fairest player and that which excels on field accumulating the votes throughout the home and away season.

Congratulations to Tom on his achievement

Toorak Toofs would like to announce the additions of Kurt Tippett and Jeremy Howe to the Toffs forward line, two players tipped to drag the Toffs back up the BFFL ladder.

We would also like to wish, Sharrod Wellingham, Jack Grimes and Matt Deboer all the best at their new clubs.

Coach Jordie_tackles would also like to express his interests in trading for further forward line additions throughout the trade period.

TOORAK TOFFS LEGEND BLACK RETIRES

Toorak Toffs FC would like to announce the immediate retirement of Club legend Simon Black. Black who was strongly considered for the inaugural Captaincy of the Toffs will be greatly Missed. It was unfortunate the Black could only play 8 games as he was always in the Toffs best 22. Amassing 22 disposals on average combined with 4 tackles and 2 marks he was always happy to lead the way on the field while weary toffs colours. Simon Black.png
