Anyone who wanted a look at Cockatoo, here's a small clip. Last two highlights are particularly exciting.
While he sounds and looks like the sort of player we need, being big bodied, quick, and apparently a good user of the ball, I understand that he hasn't been able to string too many games together in the last year or two. He's definitely a risk, given that means there isn't much to go off. Given the draft sanctions we've had, and even though we've come out of them pretty well, the club has to decide whether we're in a position to take a risk in the draft right now. I'll back Dodoro & co, but I'm inclined to say yes, given we have two top 20 picks.

Having said all that now though, Norf will probably pick him up out of spite.

If North want to take him at 16 it means we will most likely get De Goey at 17 who will be an absolute steal at that pick.

With 17 and 20.. we should be able to pick up two really good prospects..

De Goey and Cuckatoo would be my ideal..

One too many on the senior list. Goddard won't last to our pick, pipe dream. My take:

Delist: Gregory (demote to rookie list), Hardingham, Browne (demote to rookie list), van Unen, Jetta, Thurlow (rookie), Dell'Olio (rookie), Steinberg (rookie)

Pick 17: De Goey, Cockatoo, Garlett, Lamb
Pick 20: De Goey, Cockatoo, Garlett, Lamb, Keitel, Hammelman
Pick 62: Ambrose

Rookie pick 12: Milham, Kovacevic
Rookie pick 30: Browne
Rookie pick 48: Gregory
Rookie pick 66: Long
Rookie pick 84: McKenna (Category B)

I don't mind your selections. Although, in saying that.

Maybe something like;

Pick 17: De Goey, Cockatoo, Blakely, Garlett, Lamb, Keitel
Pick 20: De Goey, Cockatoo, Blakely, Garlett, Lamb, Keitel
Pick 62: Ambrose (rookie upgrade)

Rookie pick 12: Sam Baulderstone, Angus Milham, Mark Kovacevic
Rookie Pick 30: Jack Lonie, Jaiden McGrath
Rookie Pick 48: Alex Browne, Will Hams, Tayte Pears
Rookie Pick 66: Jake Long (father/son)
Rookie Pick 84: Connor McKenna (category b rookie)

Only 1 live pick (#19) is between our two selections.. so you would think that if DeGoey is available.. he is selected at 17 and then hopefully Cuckatoo slips to 20.

Any ideas on who Carlton would target with #19?

hams signed a new contract lol.

I would've thought they'd take McKenzie given they desperately need a key forward but a mate of mine who's a Carlton supporter reckons they'll get a mid with their first pick.

Not bad, Hams won't get demoted though imo in Hirds trade wrap video it sounded like Hams will play a lot of AFL footy next year.

All three of those guys have cases for a rookie listing. Hams is the most likely to stay on the senior list with one of Browne/Pears my call for demotion.

You would think they'd have learnt now that the very best key forwards come in the early stages of the drafts!
*bangs head against wall

Was thinking "uh Sydney to?"

Then realised they are robbing the bank picking up Heeney at 20.

On Carlton, I could see them going tall. If a Caleb Marchback (KPD) slips through they would be all over him. Or a quick speedy running midfielder in the Cockatoo mould. lol
