Warnock for a Kerridge or Lyons with us upgrading a pick for them is more likely.

Don't like at HBF because he is not a naturally tough player
I see he and Thomas as very skilled players who if fit and if the ball gets up fwd enough (midfield's responsibility) could cause serious havoc near goal
I believe if we get Higgins and lose Waite, it cancels out the compo pick.

Yes if you lose 1 to FA but get 1 to FA then you don't get a compo pick

EDIT: Seriously though, I reckon Knockers and Robbo could each be worth a 2nd rounder at the peak of their current value. So maybe something like:
Lyons, their 2nd (29-odd) and their 3rd, with us throwing in our 4th?
That is, Warnock, Robinson and 61 for Lyons, 29 and 46.
I could see that happening somehow.

Only a team so bereft of depth like Melb would entertain that, and even then it'd need to be a even draft where they think they can genuinely get 2 decent players in the 30s

I think small FP role, moving up through the HFF and occasional runs on the wing/midfield.

Higgins is a decent enough pick-up, even if he is a touch on the slow side. Not overly thrilled but as others have indicated he's an upgrade on plenty of players getting regular games.
Sorry, there are mixed messages there.
Has Higgins definitely agreed to join Carlton or have we just tabled an offer through his manager ??

No mixed messages. He has agreed to come on a 3 year deal with the 3rd being incentive based. I don't see how that can be misunderstood!!! If he stays fit he gets the 3rd year, if not he doesn't stay fit he won't trigger the 3rd year. Pretty simple I would have thought!!!
