Trouble posting GIFS

I can only upload gifs 1mb or smaller, yet I notice that other posters can upload gifs far larger in file size.
Is this a problem with my bigfooty account/settings or the computer I use? I use a macbook pro.

No, it seems almost everyone can do it.
I have a 1mb cap though.

No worries I've worked out the parameters for uploading and simply cutting/pasting

Everybody can only post attachments 1mb or smaller, including me and chief. If you spot any attachments larger than that, and are hosted by us, then I would like to know about it.

Well I noticed many in the 'Essential Meme's' thread on the GD board. I'm assuming many simply copy/paste a file instead of uploading however

I cant post any gifs or pics over 1mb. Tried on a few occasions. So I generally upload them to Photobucket, tinypic etc. and get a link for the pic, and post that.

The system just doesn't have the flexibility that we would like - we can't set different amounts for different users.

We should still look at bumping Avatars up just a smidge for Platinum members...To say, 150kbs even...
