That's huge. Expect all those guys to have major hands in what could be a 200 point win.

Other games? Hillside in a canter over Oak Park. Westmeadows over Taylors Lakes and the champs who will have 3 playing seniors, but who get back gun midfielder Shaun Stewart, to post a 100+ point win over Glenroy.

Massive. The side to beat for sure. Good win for the Eagles. Nath Perone and Stewart had it on a string while Callum Langborne is the most under rated player in the entire 18 division.

Credit to Glenroy who played the game in great spirit and never gave up. Hillside look like the other title contender.

lets not go to early with the 'team to beat quote' hillside eds and Craigieburn all pose attacking weapons that are super on there day.

True, but knowing the 3 sides I just think Douttas are the team to beat. The round 3 clash should be a beauty.

I wonder how if the 4 under 18s playing seniors for crazyies will play in that round 3 game seem to go missing in the seniors on the week end

Expect Craigieburn to play as close to a full strength team in the seniors against eds if that means under 18s play. They play.

The under 18 premiers look super strong in this division. With four players having to come back from seniors. They will be awfully hard to beat!

Should be a couple of decent games this weekend.

Taylors and Glenroy should be pretty evenly matched. Taylors by 20
Oak Park v Craigieburn at Tulla should be all one way traffic. Eagles by 150.
Westmeadows and EDS will be close for a while, but I expect the class of Douttas to shine through. EDS by 78
Hillside by 88 over EK.

Has the season started as all expected at your club??

Pretty much. Expected Douttas to be in 1st place and that's where I expect them to finish after 18 rounds. Thought our game against them was a beauty and Douttas only got away late. Loved the work of Pete Ntalianis and thought he was the difference between the two sides.

A positive is to see Westy, Hillside, Glenroy and even Oak Park playing some really good footy.

Doutta's, big favorites IMO , Craigieburn and Hillside main challengers with Westy going really well and could join those two as a challenger. it could come down to who is able to play finals and not be with there TAC side or senior sides. Hillside wont play senior finals and will get back a lot of players , they have had 6-7 play seniors already.
Good to hear young Perrone is ok after the weekend AuckMEL. No malice in the incident. will he miss much footy?

It will be interesting down at hillside because these kids do need to qualify for the finals! But of course hillside will need them to see of relegation.

Glad he's ok too. Will miss a few weeks. Will find out more at training tonight.
Becoming difficult for the eagles 18's. Perrone and langborne both out injured plus the 3 each week in the seniors makes it tough. There best 5 players. Plus stewart an a couple others im certain they would be 5-0 with there best team.

What happened in the EDS vs Westy game Saturday. Game called off by the looks of the scores ??
There were a few spot fires throughout the game and an eds player got struck from behind which resulted in the game being called off!
Eds looked mighty frightening tho, kicked 9 goals to 2 in a 35 minute period!

Difficult for the Eagles must agree. What happened to Perrone and langbourne?

Agreed. Stewie's out for 5 weeks now with a foot fracture.

Nath got knocked out in the Hillside game and Langers has done his quad. Could be out for up to 2 months, while I reckon Nathan could be held back for another week or two.

At the end of the day this division can still be won by finishing anywhere in the top 4, it will just make it that much harder to do.

Crazies have EDS on the weekend and looks like the side will be very depleted with 2 more out looks like a lond season for them

Heard from a few people that EDS will loose there points from the westy game. Anyone know this is true? Also is it right EDS vs Westy again this week... Could be interesting match
