Good.
Even if he could stay fit there's no way he's developed enough for a team of our calibre. I hope he gets to a smaller EPL club and looks the goods there.

There can be no doubt we'll be linked to every "defensive" mid and striker available and for good reason, I expect we're up to our eyeballs in these. We're also becoming conditioned as fans to expect a shock 'big name' which may fall into either of the above roles. I'd also love us to be after a new CB.
At that, we've shed a few on our main list (Diaby, Ryo, Podolski etc) so you'd expect we'll be looking at decent depth signings too. I'd envision ending the window with 4-5 ins.
I think in order to land a 'big signing', there's need to be at least one major out. Like a Walcott, Wilshere or Welbeck.

Nah we will persist with him for another 2 years then he will end up at a villa or west Ham.
I know. Just using him as an example of the type of forward that would likely need to be sold to pave the way for a big money move.

Arsenals youth setup is a mess at the moment. It is why they are signing so many youth players.
Podolski is holidaying Turkey. Makes sense that he is linked with Gala, thought he'd be going for more too.

£2.3m does seem low, but then again you can't really expect to recoup much of the fee we paid when he's sat on the bench for 18 months.

Keep in mind he's on ridiculous wages.
Only Ozil and Sanchez earn more than him at the club.
Made sense at the time, decent enough first season. But fell away from there.

For sure and we weren't outlaying a lot at the time but the point of taking 2.3mil now is we save about 5mil in wages. That goes a long way.
Koscienly and Ramsey both got a pay rise with their last contracts and are on roughly 120k a week.

That's fair. Our wage capability has grown over the last few seasons with the stadium being essentially paid off.
We've also moved on a number of players who were under the socialist wage structure without contributing anything on the pitch.
I wish we would have a bit of a dig at Austin. Would be solid backup IMO
