Are you guys going to look at expanding to include women's teams?

If so (even just putting the feelers out), I'd be happy to do an interview with you and plug it on our Girls Play Footy website.
the league experimented with a womens round earlier this season, but unfortunately there wasn't enough interest in it. I can't speak on behalf of the league about this, but I'd imagine it's something they'll try again at some stage.

How's the 2016 season looking Mr_Smooth ?
looking good - 2 new teams entering the comp this year. the Gunmetal Bears and the Golden Parkside Boys (who are the past players side from the Parkside Football Club)

8 full teams, and the league is going from strength to strength

Good work.
Would love to be a part of this. Maybe a few seasons when i finally come home.

Just happened to find the VSFL site, while trawling footy Facebook pages with my human sponge pedia cap on. Got stuck into it today: http://www.footypedia.com/00007250.htm

Sorry I forgot to add a link to the VSFL site, will try to remember to do it tomorrow. Really need to look at how I handle links, lot of data entry for an outdated href approach. But its now represented, anyways.

Absolutely adore the VSFL concept. Like fumbler I'd love to see them take on geog names, but it sounds like a specific intent to avoid the issues that may come from it. In my perfect world they'd be named after the locations no longer otherwise represented due to clubs folding or dissolved through merger. But that's just me.

Edit: Couldn't help myself, went back and added a site link. Procedure book thrown right out the window.

We seen our first area name in a team.
I'd like to see some of the clubs continue this and even use Northern, Southern etc or localities like Metro, Hume, Merri etc.

Thanks for the update.

A young bloke I play internet games with said he quit Heathmont cause he's starting uni, and won't be able to give the time. I spammed him the VSFL idea but I'm not sure if he's gonna pick it up.

Round 2 results (played on 30/4 in extremely windy conditions - northerly wind was putting 10-15m on each kick)
Blue Evolution (54) defeated Red Devils (36)
Gunmetal Bears (44) defeated White Ice (38)
Golden Parkside Boys (36) defeated by Green Rangers (59)
Black Magic (54) defeated by Purple Knights (61) - bit of self felating info regarding this game, the Knights were 3.5 goals down early in the last quarter kicking into the stiff breeze, and kicked the last 5 goals to win

Round 3 - played in gorgeous conditions on the 21st May
Golden Parkside Boys (102) def White Ice (29)
Red Devils (18) defeated by Purple Knights (41)
Blue Evolutions (28) defeated by Black Magic (76)
Gunmetal Bears (71) defeated Green Rangers (65)

Hey Guys,

The 2019 season is upon us - there hasn't been too much action on here for a while now. Hoping to kickstart discussion and get thoughts on what the year looks like for the VSFL.
