And I think it’s also a case of parents discover that they have a boy who can kick a footy so send them to a PSA school as opposed to PsA making kids better footballers.
If it's anything like Victoria the private schools go shopping for footballers.

One of the troubling things in WA football has been the gradual decline in participation rates in lower socio-economic suburbs within the metropolitan area over the last 20 years.

Due to changing demographics and other factors football is struggling in these areas....and at times is no longer existent.

Believe it or not there was a time when I was much younger when the bulk of state players didn't come from the PSA system.

Playing for Chapman Valley in the Geraldton football league......listed once for EF colts team but didn't play...no state selection..considering this is his prime year for drafting, bit of a red flag the kid choosing to play Bush footy over WAFL.....can never say never, but definitely makes it difficult come draft day, that's if he is even interested to pursue a career in footy. Been selected in the Geraldton squad for the up coming Country Football carnival though.....

Obviously just a surname, but good to see Paddy Cripps younger brother Joshua back on the park playing footy again, post ACL from last year in PSA. At 199cm and 90 odd kgs, he is lined up to play FF for EF colts v Perth this weekend.....good luck to the young fella.

Maybe the Dockers are hiding him.

Is there a link to the 17’s match in SA?
If there is I cant find it, I've googled, looked and asked all with dead ends. Nothing on AFL, SANFL, WAFL, WA Footy Comm, The West Australian, AFL Draft Central websites or their related social media.

Pretty tough first half but defenders Curtin, Busslinger, Cleaver and Michael are doing their best.

Gilbey looks a nice player. Condon is a developing ruck. Clark, Sanchez and Williams lively. Hewett tough and robust early.

Delivery into the 50 ordinary but having said that our forwards haven't cluncked a contested mark yet.

Brave effort in unfamiliar conditions and up against some dubious umpiring. Some players outstanding, some disappointing, 1 or 2 not up to this level imo.

SA 8-8
WA 7-11
Goals: M Williams 2, Sanchez 2, Cleaver, Brown, Scaife 1
My Best: Curtin, Busslinger, Gilbey, Michael, Cleaver, Sanchez, C Williams, Condon

Frees
SA 22
WA 9

How did Hagan go? I thought he would be the dominant one since he also in the 19s
