Hi Everyone.
Many of us have seen Ron Barassi's withering Quarter Time spray delivered to his North Melbourne charges in 1979. However I'm guessing not as many of us have seen the 1980 documentary it's taken from - War Without Weapons.
This fascinating documentary takes us behind the scenes of the North Melbourne Football Club as it prepares for the 1979 VFL Season. Director Curtis Levy was granted unprecedented access by coach Ron Barassi to document team meetings, training sessions, medical assessments, selection committee deliberations, social club functions and pre-game motivational tactics. Barassi's frank gameday observations and fiery Quarter Time address were also recorded for posterity.
This documentary also features rare footage of North Melbourne and Carlton playing at the historic Arden Street Oval during Round 18 - Saturday 4th August 1979.
