Welcome to Collingwood Travis. Hope you do very well here.

I'll be honest, I disliked him when he was at Geelong, but that was based more on the jumper than anything else. Hope he can add some dash to our team and make a name for himself as a Collingwood player.

Am i the only one who is pretty happy to have him on our team,if we use him as a forward/wingman instead of backflank like Geelong did, he will be one of the better players with footskills and has pace. if we can teach him to not be scared of him own shadow he could play a really role of us.

A total moneyball selection. Some egghead has crunched the numbers and said we X handball recieved and 7 inside 50's, or whatever. There's no improvement on his current figures immenent and he has been on a bit of a downward spiral for a while. He might serve a purpose, but Garlett was cheaper and Lumumba better. A spud selection really.

Yeah he's more consistent then Young IMO, a tad stronger too I reckon.

and more Verstile then Young as Varcoe can go Forward and Play Crumbing Forward

That's where I'd like to see Varcoe play at times, up forward.

2010 = 20 games, 31 goals
2011 = 24 games, 31 goals

He could be a good addition in an area we lack, goal kickers.

Agree - Just have to watch the 2011 GF to see what he can do in front of Goals

The more I digest this trade, the more I like it.
I'm with you there. I think we have done well under the circumstances.
Greenwood a very handy addition, pick 5 should be a winner & Crisp a potential.
Varcoe will play some good footy & give us some X factor in front of goals.

Of course Garlett would have been cheaper - he spent his year in Preston interspersed with bouts of terribleness in the senior side.

Get behind Varcoe, he is a magpie now. He wanted to get rid of those disgusting navy hoops and get the hell out of Waurn Ponds and for that I like him and welcome him to the club.

At least he starts in our best 22. It's up to him from there. He has pace which we badly need so he's one addition that helps with a need.

Harry was a found out defender who turned into wannabe winger. Who really had no impact on games this year.

Varcoe although not mr consistent himself, will be a great addition with his turn of speed and freakish skills. Im stoked we got him
