It will be interesting if Bluey gets sacked.
WCE should offer him a assistant role straight away.
He is incredibly close to the WA boys at GC.
May help to bring one home one day.

On the coaching doco on 7 he was shown saying that he was barracking for the Hawks in a game against Freo (GC played the Hawks the following week) because he's an ex WC boy and hates Freo

Hire him immediately :)

With our inexperienced coaching panel, he would be a great choice to add to our coaching team.

Kane Lucas keen for a fresh start, would cost sweet fa and was a former first rounder, what do people think?
Let's add another bland vanilla midfielder to go with the plethora of bland vanilla midfielders we already have? Because we can never have enough?

Rather take a gamble in the draft, stuff it up, keep drafting and one day unearthing a gem.

Unless Kane has all of a sudden gone from being an 11.5 second hundred metre runner to 10.25 second....that's a big no.

Everyone in here recognises what we need to draft and trade for. Speed and/or elite skills. Lucas is neither.

No to Lucas

Was played late in the season, probably to increase his trade value which ended up having the opposite effect

What do you guys think of something like this?

Hawthorn
IN Pick 11/12 (depending on FA)
OUT 18, Hallahan

West Coast
In Hallahan, Greenwood
Out Pick 11/12 (depending on FA)

North Melbourne
IN Pick 18
OUT Greenwood
no deal. why would we give up pick 10 for two average players, no no no, rather have pick 10 and get Pickett or some talent then two spuds

Hawthorn lose a player they might well delist anyway, and move up into the top 11.

North get over the odds for Greenwood.

We give up pick 11 and get a couple more average midfielders to add to our average midfield.

Where do we sign?

I feel like we're getting a good deal there...

I'd be interested in Greenwood and Hallahan - but yeah... not for Pick 10

You're not interested in Garlett because he's a 'middling talent', yet you're interested in Hallahan? :p

We don't know with Hallahan yet - he has been kept out of a very strong Hawthorn side. Could be the next mcglynn or could be the next Savage.

And he is in a position that we desperately need some improvement in.

Revisited post F/S bidding:

Out: Brennan, Smith, Tunbridge, Wilson, Carter, Cox (ret.), Glass (ret.)

Rd 1: Laverde/Ahern/De Goey/Pickett
Rd 2: Menadue/Blakely/Howe/Miller/Gore
Rd 3: Cripps/Markov/D. McKenzie
Rd 4: Deluca/Bevan/McGovern/Abbott
Rd 5: Waterman
Rd 6: Upgrade Sinclair (if he isnt traded)

Rk 1: Lockyer

IMO we need:

- A tall ruckman/fwd (especially if we trade Sinclair, bringing in Cripps/Bevan)
- A small forward/mid (Deluca/Pickett, we already have Karpany and Newman developing)
- An inside/outside mid and an outside line breaker (Laverde, Ahern, De Goey, Menadue, Blakely, Gore, Miller, Abbott)
- A HBF with good disposal and football smarts (Howe, D. McKenzie, Lockyer)
- A KPF/KPD (McGovern/Bevan)
