I'm going to be away for the next week, guys. Golumless, PVF and LicoriceAllsorts will step us as captains for the week, so we're left in good hands. I'll try to get involved a few nights throughout the week too. Good to see people actively contributing to the match threads, and we're also seeing a wider variety of people post, which is very nice. 4-4 is much better than the 0-8 of last season.

Filled with hope after last week's exciting victory we returned to The Colosseum, but The Colosseum has not been a happy hunting ground for the Wonders this season and today it proved to be so again. The Bears physical game style (what? the Bears?) saw them smash us in Tackles and Iron-outs, and only accurate kicking kept us in the game. With the game on the line in the last quarter it was their ability to lock the ball in their forward line that separated the two teams. The rookies flew the flag - haydo169 laid 7 tackles, Kangaroos4eva laid 6 to go with his 20 touches, and TwentyNine kicked 4 goals, but we didn't get enough from our experienced brigade who again were inexplicably benched whenever they started to get on a roll. This correspondent believes it might be time for Croweater41 to hand over the coaching reins, especially as he now plays for another club!

p.s. it was nice to see TheFreshBanana return to some sort of form, slotting a couple of nice goals

In an unusual week the oft-maligned sim recognized that only one team had turned up and the result was a foregone conclusion from before quarter time. Surely a firm favourite for the EKA, Kangaroos4eva continued his run of outstanding form, with another 20+ touches, 8 tackles and a goal, while Wooljay laid strong claim to another three votes in the Mobbs Medal with 26 touches and 3 goals. Ever reliable Beer n Skittles and ClarkeM dominated through the middle of the ground, Daniel1812 clunked 9 marks, while Golumless with 4 goals, craffles with 3 and TheFreshBanana & Porked04 with two each finished things off up forward.
