After a fairly disappointing end to 2014, the focus for the Dogs will be to add some KPP talent to our growing body of midfielders. The Footscray VFL side are still playing in the finals, so there may not be a lot of movement until the seconds have finished.

Further details and links will be added during the offseason...

You should have traded Grant last year when Brisbane we're interested

Possibly correct. Had Docherty been keen to come here that may have eventuated... He played well, as did the club as a whole at the tail end of last year, so possibly artificially inflated his worth and was retained as a result..

No idea why the Dogs gave in and gave Grant that extra year. Should've only been a 1 year deal.

Spot on.

Posibly related to my earlier post about artificially inflated value, but potentially linked to issues such as timing of Free Agency etc...

What would you offer for Nathan Brown or Jack Frost from Collingwood. I think we want to keep them, but depends on the price offered.

Keen on Frost! Certainly a pick in the 20's I would be offering. Maybe our compo pick for Higgins so around 27! I really like Brown too but so hard to get a read on him because of injury maybe worth the risk as we need to restructure our defensive stocks.

Id love Dalhaus at Brisbane, but that would be wishful thinking at best...
He's the face of our marketing tot he kids, they love him.
Even if he wasn't a gun, we couldn't afford to let him go because of the membership damage it would cause.

There was a rumour about us being linked to Frost, ex Willy boy so has played with some bulldogs before (alignment days).
Then again we've been linked to Butcher, Casboult & Sam Reid so anyone over 6 foot who can mark a ball will be linked to us in the next 2 months.

That theory hasn't hurt Collingwood as Dale Thomas did the same job.

I'm expecting either your second rd pick or your Higgins compo pick (second rd) for Casboult when he accepts your 500k per year deal.

Surely you're taking the piss??

Nope. I posted it on the dogs board earlier. He's asked us to match it, but clearly we are not going to do that. So unless there is a compromise, he's all yours. :)

Won't be getting just a second rounder of us. It's likely you won't even get a 3rd/4th from us because of our F/S.

You're offering more than you offered Crameri - which indicates your club rate him highly. Higgins compo pick will do.

Hmmmmm, we offered Crameri 50k less and he was a much more established player. I do like Levi but for the right price. I'm not convinced we would offer him that much considering Dawes wanted a similar salary a season ago and we opted out. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

The loss of both Casboult and Waite would leave your forward line in disarray. Carlton cannot afford to have both leave and there is absolutely no proof that we are offering 500k a season.

Proof? Do you expect Macca to come out and announce it at last night's presser conference?

Losing Casboult would hurt. But I'm happy the club isn't prepared to be held to ransom and pay 500k to keep him.

Also, Walker has been told he'll play forward again next year after the emergence of Buckley & Sheehan this year.

Well where has this 500k figure come from! Not saying were not interested but their hasn't been any suggestion at all as to what his asking price is.

I know a friend of Levi. He wants to stay loyal to us, but obviously 500k is too big money to turn down.

Cooney is someone we could look to get something for, what would people give up? I'd say a deal similar to the Lake deal would be fair.

Say, pick 26 and Cooney for pick 18 off Hawthorn. Could see North pushing for him, too.

Maybe Macca keeps saying this "the off season is very competitive" line to try and justify the big spend for Levi
